Dear David:
Very, very happy to know Matthew is coming home and it was nice to
see your name, again, with your comments regarding Beverley´s
‘mind-boggling´. I find some of your comments a bit ‘mind boggling´,
as I am sure you expected. Praise the Lord!
In the opening paragraph of your email you say: "The body of
Christ IS the Temple of God. It is the body of Christ, the Temple of
God, that will suffer the abomination of desolation, the apostasy, the
hatred of Satan."
I am sure the body WILL BE the body of Christ, David, but not until
after He gathers and joins all the parts of the body together, both
those who are alive, at that time, and those who are in the grave.
Until that happens the ‘body´ cannot be considered an entity, it is not
a "Temple" that can ‘suffer the abomination of desolation´, so I am at a
loss to know just what you mean by that and about the apostasy. The
hatred of Satan is a given but each Christian has the power to rebuke
Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ, and Satan must leave. The
individual Christian, therefore, does not need to suffer ‘the hatred of
Satan´. Praise the Lord!
With respect to Israel you ask: "Is God going to give them another
opportunity besides the one that the world has before it now?"
It would appear you do not think so but I have to wonder, why?
Romans 11 opens with the statement by Paul: "I say then, Hath God cast
away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of
Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." Paul, I think, is speaking of the
nation of Israel and the rest of the chapter makes it clear that God has
NOT cast them off. I think it can be concluded they will be given a
final seven years, the last week of Daniel´s seventy weeks of years, in
which He will show them, and the world, that He has not cast them off.
God, I think, will give Israel, pseudo-Christians and ‘who-so-ever will´
a second chance during the 7 years and, at the end of the 7 years, I
think He will give every nation of the world a final chance before the
vials are poured out. Praise the Lord!
The second last sentence in your email reads: "The interpretation
that leads to your mind being boggled is based on a popular and I think
erroneous interpretation of Daniel's seven weeks."
You are referring, I assume, to Daniel 9:25. It appears obvious
this was the first seven weeks of the seventy weeks of 9:24 and it has
been concluded they are, now, ancient history. If you think that is
erroneous, David, what is your interpretation of them?
Your closing statement is: "Jesus was the person who ceased the
need to sacrifice (as you say, he was the ULTIMATE sacrifice, the final
one) and his people, future Christians, destroyed Jerusalem and the
Temple for their abominations (sins)."
Jesus was, indeed, the ultimate sacrifice but ‘his people, future
Christians,´ did not destroy Jerusalem, as I think you know. History
proves Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman Legions.
Please give Diedre our love, with a hug and a kiss for the little

1. No injuries in Gaza mortar attacks
(BNI-FEB.23) There were no casualties in mortar attacks aimed at Jewish
communities in Gaza on Thursday night.
Mortars were fired at the communities of Dugit and Alei Sinai in northern
Gaza. Outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Barak condemned the attacks, vowing=20
the
arm of the IDF would reach those responsible for firing mortars at Jewish
communities.

2. Masked gunmen rob Eben Yehuda post office
(BNI-FEB.23) Two masked gunmen on Friday morning held up the Eben=20
Yehuda
post office, making off with NIS 8,000. Police used a helicopter in the
hope of apprehending the fleeing suspects bus were unsuccessful in their
effort.

3. Man beaten to death in Tel Aviv
(BNI-FEB.23) A man in his thirties was beaten to death in Tel Aviv on
Friday. A paramedic ambulance team was unable to save the man who was
pronounced dead on the scene. Police have indicated the incident appears
to be =91criminal=92 and not =91terrorist=92 in nature.

4. Friday morning bomb attacks in Gaza=20
(BNI-FEB.23) Bombs exploded early Friday morning as soldiers were
inspecting the road outside the community of Morag. Soldiers in the
morning hours =93open=94 the roadways in the area to ensure they are safe f=
or
civilian travel. The soldiers were traveling in an armored vehicle which
protected them from the blasts near the new Morag industrial zone.
In another attack a few minutes later in the morning, an explosive device
was detonated against soldiers on the Karnei/Netzarim road injuring one
soldier lightly.

5. No injuries in Thursday night shooting attack in Hebron
(BNI-FEB.23) There were no reports of casualties in a Thursday late night
shooting attack against an IDF jeep in the Hebron area.=20

Soldiers returned fire.

6. No injuries in gun battle in northern Jericho
(BNI-FEB.23) There were no IDF casualties in a gun battle on Thursday
night in northern Jericho near Nahal Elisha, between IDF and PA forces.=20
In the earlier weeks of the Al Aqsa Intifada, shooting attacks in the same
area were daily occurrences and the recent resumption is in line with IDF
intelligence assessments that the daily warfare will become increasingly
severe in the immediate future as PA Chairman Yassir Arafat continues to
test Prime Minister-elect Ariel Sharon.

(BNI-FEB.23) An Israeli female was injured lightly in a stone-throwing
attack on Thursday evening between the Jewish communities of Kochav
HaShachar and Rimonim, in the Benjamin Regional Council district of
Samaria. The injured motorist was treated on the scene.

1. IDF divides Gaza into two following escalation in PA warfare
(BNI-FEB.23) Following daily shooting and bombing attacks against Israeli
military and civilian targets, and Thursday night mortar attacks against
Jewish communities in Gaza, Prime Minister/Defense Minister Ehud Barak
called for the division of Gaza into two sections.
The move, being implemented on Friday, will cut off travel between Gaza
City and Khan Yunis and Rafiah in southern Gaza.
In a related matter, a senior military source was quoted in the Israeli
media on Friday as saying the daily warfare was being orchestrated by PA
Chairman Yassir Arafat. It was also added that Arafat was losing control
of the PA.=20

(BNI-FEB.23) IDF soldiers close to noon on Friday were attacked by PA
gunfire and grenades in southern Gaza. The attacks originated in the

Man cured of Parkinson's

A MAN with Parkinson's disease has been cured in a breakthrough that
offers hope to millions of people worldwide, it was revealed yesterday.
The disease was gone within a month, and 18 months later the patient was
still symptom-free and medication-free, despite having suffered Parkinson's
for 15 years.
The illness was reversed using cells taken from the American man's own
brain, which were treated in the laboratory then returned to his brain.
Doctors are impressed with the results, but warn that large-scale clinical
trials are needed to verify the one-off cure.
The breakthrough, which raises hope for millions of sufferers, including an
estimated 50,000 in Australia, was revealed yesterday by the Spinal Cord
Society.
The society, which helped fund the research, also revealed the treatment
secured the approval of the influential US Food and Drug Administration in
mid-2000, giving the green light for large-scale human trials.
The man was treated at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre's Neurofunctional
Surgery Centre in Los Angeles, by neurosurgeon Dr Michel Levesque.
The cure also raises hopes for treatments to reverse damage caused by
spinal cord injuries as well as stroke and epilepsy.
Spinal Cord Society of Australia president George Owen said it was
unknown when large-scale human trials would begin.
"There is still work to do, but the facts are that one man has had his own
cells put back and within a month lost all his symptoms, and he's been off
his medication for 18 months," said Mr Owen, a Victorian surgeon.
"That's an absolutely brilliant outcome. Now we need to repeat this on other
patients so it can become a mainstream treatment for Parkinson's.
"One of the downsides is this requires a brain biopsy, and that is not without
its risks. There's a 1 per cent mortality rate.
"But these people are desperate. People are dying of this disease."
The cells harvested from the patient's brain are stem cells, premature cells
which can be made to grow into any type of cell.
Scientists stimulate these stem cells to become dopamine-producing cells,
which are the brain cells destroyed in patients with Parkinson's.
Millions of these cells are grown and then returned to the patient's brain,
replacing cells destroyed by the disease and thereby reversing the illness.
The treatment must pass large clinical trials before it will be widely available.
It is hoped Australian patients could be included in trials.
Actor Michael J. Fox's much-publicised battle with Parkinson's has raised
the disease's profile and hastened the race for a cure.

power to sentence to death. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, affirming an=

earlier decision, overturned the death penalty of Alfred Arthur Sandoval on=
=20
Wednesday. The court, sitting in San Francisco, ruled the prosecutor=20
improperly invoked the name of God and the Scriptures during the penalty=20
phase. The three judge panel, however, upheld Sandoval's conviction for fou=
r=20
murders, performed "execution style," and one attempted murder.=20=20
The ruling means that Sandoval, 41, will get life in prison for the murders=
=20
unless the state decides to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court or hold a new=
=20
death penalty trial. During the 1985 trial, David Milton, then a Los Angele=

County Deputy District Attorney, told the jury that the death penalty is=20
sanctioned, nay required, by God. "You are not playing God," he told jurors=
