the church. See, daughter of Sion (Jes). The worship of Mary is
antichristlike because it is against the Bible - It is no other name given
the men in which they would be redeemd - that is Jesus Christ. The great
wonders which are evident matter of fact by the revelation of Mary are all
devil wonders which would tempt the whole world.

NEA Chief Endorses Gay Activism In Schools

WASHINGTON, D.C. (MCNS) -- Homosexual activists should be
allowed to present their case in public schools. This is the stand of
Bob Chase, director of the National Education Association (NEA),
who was speaking before the Gay Lesbian Straight Education
Network, Family News in Focus reports.

In a keynote address, Chase endorsed the conference theme,
"Ending Hate: Beginning in School." A crowded room of
homosexual activists welcomed Chase with a standing ovation. He
promised to back the homosexual agenda.

"It's time for America to prove that it loves its children," Chase said.

Opponents were brandished as bullies and compared to violent
gangs, Family News in Focus reported.

"People generally understand this when it comes to something like
gangs in school," Chase said. "If there's one gang who's rival with
another gang, people understand that this is a dangerous and
unacceptable situation."

More than 2 million people belong to the NEA, which is the nation's
largest teachers union.

"Bob Chase stood on that platform saying that he was about
human rights," said Focus on the Family Education Analyst Dick
Carpenter, who attended the conference. "He said that the NEA
wasn't about promoting homosexuality or about recruiting when, in
fact, he spent ten minutes of the speech talking about how the
NEA promotes homosexuality in their literature, in their workshops
and their conferences all over the country."

Conference organizers said Chase had invited himself to be the
keynote speaker. And the NEA director admitted he had received
letters criticizing his decision to appear.

Effectively Block Abortion Pill

NEW YORK =97 The rollout of the recently approved "abortion pill"
may be held up by an unexpected source: the manufacturer of a
drug used in the controversial treatment. The drug known as RU-
486 and sold under the name Mifeprex can't be used on its own.
Mifeprex stops the placenta from growing, but women must also
take a Searle Pharmaceuticals drug called misoprostol to expel the
dead fetus.

But misoprostol was actually designed as an ulcer drug, and
Searle doesn't want it used any other way.

On Aug. 23, more than a month before RU-486 was approved by
the Food and Drug Administration, the company sent out a
strongly worded letter, with the cooperation of the FDA, saying
misoprostol "is not approved for the induction of labor or abortion."
The letter said misuse of the drug can cause adverse effects such
as a ruptured uterus, vaginal bleeding and "maternal or fetal death."

Misoprostol has also been used for at least seven years as a
cheap and effective way to induce labor, independent of its role in
drug-induced abortions.

Despite Searle's objections, the FDA approved use of the drug in
conjunction with RU-486, touching off a debate among supporters
and opponents of the abortion pill treatment program.

Searle's action "will cripple the use of RU-486" if it is honored by
doctors, charged Dr. Charles Lockwood, chair of the obstetrics
committee at the American College of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists (ACOG). "We're very concerned by the timing of the
letter, coming within weeks of the approval of RU-486 by the FDA."

Searle declined to comment on the non-ulcer uses of misoprostol.
And despite the company's concerns, doctors may continue
prescribing the medicine as they like.

"To be fair to Searle, they're being placed right in the middle of a
maelstrom," Lockwood said. "They created a wonderful ulcer drug,
and that was all they wanted. But it turns out to be a great drug for
obstetrics" =97 and for abortion.

RU-486 opponents argue the Searle letter proves their argument
the drug-induced abortion method is simply too dangerous. Sen.
Tim Hutchinson, R-Ark., and Rep. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., have
introduced a bill that would create additional restrictions on the
process.

"The debate has more to do with how the FDA steamrolled the
process," said Coburn's press secretary, John Hart. "The FDA
wrote the letter to give Searle legal protection in future lawsuits
from women who will be harmed by the two-drug combination."

ACOG sent Hutchinson and Coburn a letter Thursday insisting
misoprostol "helps ensure the delivery of healthy babies and helps
ensure the health and the life of the mother."

According to ACOG's Marsha Simon, "The unintended victim,
perhaps of the [Mifeprex] approval process, has been women's
access to misoprostol for the uses of labor induction and post-
partum bleeding."

But that argument wasn't working with RU-486 opponents. Simon's
argument is simply "a cover story to promote access to abortion,"
according to Hart.

Sens. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Wednesday
introduced a bill that would call for more protection for the US
critical infrastructure from hackers, terrorists and rogue nations.

S. 3188, the Cyber Security Enhancement Act, would allow
companies to submit information, on a voluntary basis, on
weaknesses in their online systems, as well as information on
threats and attacks to the federal government without fearing that
the information would be subject to the Freedom of Information Act.

Kyl in a statement on the Senate floor, said the bill also would
contain antitrust exemptions to allow companies to share cyber-
security information with each other, and also would allow the
attorney general to issue administrative subpoenas in tracing the
roots of a cyber-attack.

The bill also would require the attorney general to formulate a plan
to be vetted by Congress that would standardize law enforcement
requests to private companies for electronic information and
records used during a "cyber investigation," Kyl said.

The attorney general and Commerce Department secretary also
would be required to issue reports on using technologies to prevent
hackers and Internet terrorists from spoofing, or using false Internet
addresses to conceal the source of attacks.

Kyl said he based the needs of the bill on hearings he held as
chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Technology,
Terrorism and Government Information. He added that he and
Feinstein have held seven hearings on the subject in the past three
years.

"Today, our nation's critical infrastructures have all become
interdependent, with vulnerable computer networks as the
backbone," Kyl said. "These networks, and the vital services they
support like transportation, electric power, air traffic control, and
telecommunications, are vulnerable to disruption or destruction by
anyone with a computer and a modem. And an attack on one
sector can cascade to others, causing significant loss of revenue,
disruption of services, or loss of life."

Kyl noted that FOIA has caused many companies to refrain from
sharing information with the federal government, adding that the
FOIA exemption in his and Feinstein's bill is "narrowly defined."

He said, however, that the bill "would not allow submitters to hide
information from the public. If current reporting obligations require
that certain information be submitted to a particular agency, this
non-disclosure provision would not alter that requirement. The
legislation would only protect voluntarily submitted information that
the government would otherwise not have."

(Washington, D.C.) -- Applauding the U.S. Senate for
standing with Israel during a time of crisis, Howard Kohr, Executive
Director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), today
hailed a bipartisan letter to President Clinton from Senate Majority Leader
Trent Lott (R-MS) and Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD).

The letter, signed by 94 U.S. Senators, expresses solidarity with the state
and people of Israel at this time of crisis, condemns the Palestinian
leadership for encouraging the violence and doing little to stop it, urges
the administration to veto the passage of unbalanced resolutions at the U.N.
Security Council and calls on all parties to revive the peace process. In
addition, the letter calls on President Clinton to take all necessary steps
to secure the return to Israel of the three Israelis soldiers kidnaped by
Hezbollah terrorists. (At 6:00 P.M, the letter was still circulating)

Dear Mr. President:

We write to you to express both our solidarity with the State of Israel at
this moment of crisis and our profound disappointment and frustration with
PLO Chairman Arafat. It is, of course, unacceptable for him to resort to
violence at any time. But to usher in a deliberate campaign of violence now,
when the Government of Israel has been willing to consider unprecedented and
painful compromises to achieve a final peace agreement, can only cast deep
and troubling doubts about his desire for peace.

Resorting to violence constitutes a fundamental violation of the entire
peace process. Following the signing of the Declaration of Principles in
September 1993, Chairman Arafat wrote Israeli Prime Minister Rabin that:

"The PLO commits itself to the Middle East process, and to a peaceful
resolution of the conflict between the two sides and declares that all
outstanding issues relation to permanent status will be resolved through
negotiations."

"The PLO considers that the signing of the Declaration of Principles
constitutes a historic event, inaugurating a new epoch of peaceful
coexistence, free from violence and all other acts which endanger peace and
stability. Accordingly, the PLO renounces the use of terrorism and other
acts of violence, and will assume responsibility over all PLO elements and
personnel in order to assure their compliance, prevent violations and
discipline violators."

It was on the basis of these assurances that Prime Minister Rabin, among
other things, recognized the PLO.

We are deeply concerned at the continuing, coordinated campaign of
Palestinian violence. The Palestinian Broadcasting Authority ran continuous
film of the intifidah, urging Palestinians to take to the streets. Schools
were closed, to assure that Palestinian youths would be available to throw
rocks. Sermons in mosques exhorted people to take to the streets. The
Palestinian police were kept on the sidelines rather than ordered to take
steps to quell the violence. Arafat's private PLO army, the Tanzim, armed
with submachine guns, were dispatched to promote the rioting and to fire on
Israeli soldiers.

One can only conclude that Arafat either seeks to use violence as a
negotiating tool to extort even further concessions from the Government of
Israel, or that he in fact intends to end the peace process in its entirety
as a prelude to a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood. The
rioting has already spread elsewhere in the region, and the capture of three
Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah forces in Lebanon now threatens the outbreak
of war. And what has the Government of Israel sought throughout this crisis?
To see the violence stopped so that peace negotiations may be resumed.
Despite the provocations, despite the violence, despite the wanton
destruction of Joseph's Tomb-a revered Jewish holy site-Israel's aim has
been to get back to the negotiating table, yet, this is precisely what
Arafat has refused to do.

We urge you to express American solidarity with Israel at this crucial
moment, to condemn the Palestinian resort to violence, to do everything
possible to secure the return of the three kidnaped Israeli soldiers from
Lebanon, and to stand with Israel in international arenas - not only because
we should, but because such actions are also the best way to restore the
negotiating process. Arafat must understand that he will achieve none of his
political objectives through violence, that a unilateral declaration of
statehood will not be recognized by the United States, that only through
negotiations can he obtain the Palestinians legitimate political
aspirations, and that abandoning the negotiating process will have serious
repercussions.

This is a very dangerous hour in the Middle East. America's open and abiding
commitment to the security of Israel is the surest way to see our safely
through it.

Here at the dawn of the Third Millenium after the birth of Jesus
Christ, the major media has directed much attention to the beliefs
and expectations of millions of Christians that the world will soon
enter a time of Tribulation followed by the Second Coming of their
Savior. Time, Newsweek, PBS, A&E, and even 60 Minutes have
jumped on this subject, with what appears to be an agenda of
proving to non- Christians that Christians are a bunch of irrational,
out-of-touch lunatics whose belief system is dependant on blind
faith and confusing, discredited and misunderstood ancient
religious texts.

This editorial will attempt to show that Christians who believe in
prophecy are not driven by irrational "blind" faith, but by their
knowledge of two sets of data: Biblical/Historical Data, and the
corroborating Contemporary Data. This editorial will also reveal that
the media's analysis of the Biblical/Historical Data is superficial
and it's analysis of the Contemporary Data is virtually non-existent.
If the general public were simply presented, in an unbiased and
factual manner, these two sets of data, then the public perception
of Christian expectations would change from it's present attitude of
patronizing incredulity to one that would most likely be more
sympathetic and understanding. Granted, not all would accept and
believe the Christian message, but all, even the most extreme
skeptic, would have to admit that the Christian expectation of the
Second Coming of Jesus Christ is understandable and even
rational based on the data.

Rather than go into detail and refute the specific errors and
shortcomings of the major media's many articles, specials and
documentaries, I will simply give a brief overview of the pertinent
data, as it is seen by myself and many other prophecy-
knowledgeable Christians. I believe that this short and by no
means exhaustive list speaks for itself and proves that the major
media either has an agenda against Christianity or has simply and
inexplicably failed to do its homework.

The Antichrist

Christians believe that before the Second Coming a man will arise
who will succeed in uniting virtually all of humanity in a world
system to be composed of a single religion, a single government
and a single economy. He will blaspheme the Creator and work to
deceive every person on this earth into accepting him and rejecting
Jesus Christ. Despite his evil intent he will use seemingly good
causes to become loved and even worshiped by many, and he will
achieve power and respect through his ability to perform miracles,

The 20th century has seen the decline of traditional Christian
beliefs and the rise of the seemingly all-inclusive, multi-
dimensional belief system known loosely as "New Age" spirituality.
Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey were two of the most well
known organizers of this movement in the early part of this century
(and they will be referred to throughout this article). Blavatsky
founded the Theosophical Society and Bailey, later a president of
the TS, founded the organization known as the Lucis Trust, which
has counted as members men of great influence such as David
Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Paul Volker and George Schultz.
Blavatsky and Bailey were avid trance-channelers who claimed to
receive messages from spirit entities and both recorded many
predictions that were made to them regarding the inevitable
appearance of "The Lord Maitreya" or "The Christ" on the earth
immediately prior to earth's initiation into the utopian "New Age."
Because these women engaged in the biblically- forbidden practice
of spiritism and because the messages they received were deeply
anti-Christian, mocking and ridiculing traditional Christianity, bible-
believing Christians have understood that the appearance of the
man whom Bailey and Blavatsky predicted was not a prediction of
the second coming of Jesus Christ, but was very possibly a
prediction of the future Antichrist.

A man by the name of Benjamin Creme, a self-described disciple
of both Blavatsky and Bailey, appears to have taken over where
they left off. Through his early studies of their works he became
convinced in the reality of the "Ascended Masters," (the supposed
inter- dimensional beings who direct humanity's evolution), and
claims that in 1959 he was first contacted by them. According to
Creme's biography... "He was told, among other things, that
Maitreya, the World Teacher -- the Master of all the Masters --
would return in about 20 years and that he (Creme) would have a
role to play in the event if he chose to accept it." Creme claims
that he has been in constant telepathic contact with "Maitreya the
Christ" since the early '70s and that Maitreya finally entered
civilized society privately in 1977 when he materialized in human
form and took up residence in a suburb of London. Since then
Creme has traveled the world, giving lectures and appearing on talk
shows, to prepare the world for the public emergence of Maitreya.
He also claims that a major American television network has
agreed to interview Maitreya at a time of Maitreya's choosing.

One major aspect of Creme's mission was the formation of Share
International Foundation and the publication of it's monthly self-
titled magazine. Each issue contains a brief synopsis of the
emergence of Maitreya on the first two pages and then a brief
message that has been trance-channeled through Benjamin Creme
from an Ascended Master known simply as "The Master" on page
three. The spiritual thrust of SI is clearly obvious in each issue that
is published. Despite this fact, or perhaps because of it, SI has a
long list of prominent, well respected international diplomats,
religious leaders and political figures who have had articles
published in this magazine. They include articles written by former
UN leader Boutros Boutros-Ghali; present leader Kofi Annan;
former President of Ireland Mary Robinson; Gro Harlem Brundtland
who is director-general of the World Health Organization and former
Prime Minister of Norway; the Dalai Lama; and recently even
Britain's Crown Prince Charles. Even though the average man on
the street would most likely dissolve into hysterical laughter upon
being presented with the beliefs of Creme and Share International,
it is easily shown that this magazine is well-respected and taken
seriously by many influential members of the Global Elite. In fact,
Share International Foundation is accredited as an official non-
governmental organization (NGO) by the United Nations, and the
magazine, as stated on the inside cover of each issue, is published
by SI "...in association with the Department of Public Information at
the United Nations."

Creme and Share International are both intimately connected with a
number of New Age groups including the Freemasons (Creme often
lectures in Masonic halls), the Tara Canter of Hollywood, CA, the
Theosophical Society, the Lucis Trust (one of thirty-six contributing
organizations to the United Nations Millenium Forum of May 22-26,
2000), and World Goodwill, an organization created by the Lucis
Trust and also recognized by the UN as an official NGO. World
Goodwill also actively promotes the appearance of "Maitreya the
World Teacher" in their literature and on their website.

Maitreya claims to be "The Christ" returned, yet there are many
aspects of his character and many of his predictions (as given by
Creme) which fall in line with the bible's predictions of the coming
Antichrist and the events that will surround the end of the age. For
instance, Maitreya predicts many natural disasters and a period of
violence and destruction prior to earth's entry into the New Age; he
warns that the worldwide capitalist financial system will be
overturned; he predicts that a new world religion will be established
under his guidance and that he will be aided by a future leader of
the Roman Catholic Church. Regarding the current problems
between Israel and the Palestinians Creme has stated that when
Maitreya appears he will solve them, saying, "I believe Maitreya
alone has the spiritual authority to point to the solution and achieve
its implementation." Most Christians understand that the final
seven year period of earth's rebellious history begins with a
covenant that will involve the Antichrist and the nation of Israel. In
addition to these facts Creme says that Maitreya may be rejected
by intolerant "fundamentalists" (Christians and Jews), and "The
Master," an unnamed being who also speaks through Creme,
warns of people who will reject Maitreya based on "scriptural
warnings which they all too readily misinterpret." Let the reader be
assured that this researcher is doing his best to correctly interpret
the prophetic scriptures.

The False Prophet

The book of Revelation makes it clear that the future Antichrist will
be aided by an individual known as the False Prophet. He is the
man who helps to convince the world that the Antichrist is worthy
and deserving of worship, and ultimately it is he who enforces this
worship on penalty of death. The bible also makes the provocative
implication that the False Prophet may actually claim to be Jesus
of Nazareth, and the prophet Daniel tells us that this powerful

Benjamin Creme, through the messages that he has received from
Maitreya, tells us that "The Christ" and the "Master Jesus" are two
separate individuals. According to him, Jesus of Nazareth
channeled the power of "Maitreya the Christ" to make it through his
crucifixion, death and resurrection as described in the Gospels.
However, Creme claims that the simple message of Jesus of
Nazareth was quickly twisted into wicked "fundamentalism" and
the present Christian Church is the result. Because of the
"problems" within Christianity Creme claims that the Master Jesus
(an "Ascended Master," along with Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna,
Sai Baba, etc.) has also privately entered human society and that
he has the task of reforming Christianity so that it will accept the
authority and direction of Maitreya the Christ. According to Creme,
the Master Jesus now lives a relatively private life in Rome. Creme
predicts that when the present Pope dies the Master Jesus will
come out of his obscurity and take up a position of power within
the Roman Catholic Church. He has also stated that right now
there are two members of the Roman Curia (the members of the
Pope's inner circle) who are secretly direct disciples of the "Master
Jesus," although Pope John Paul II has rejected Maitreya. These
predictions have been made numerous times in Creme's written
works, his lectures, on radio and on the official Share International

with love, with brotherhood and right relationship. But this
monolithic institution has grown up in the name of that simple man
and transformed his simple teaching into ... well, you know what it
has taught.

In summary, it is clear that Benjamin Creme claims that "Jesus"
now lives in Rome and that he will take over the Roman Catholic
Church and then lead humanity to accept Maitreya the "Christ."

Restructuring the Calendar

The prophet Daniel predicted that the future Antichrist would
endeavor to change the calendar. This understanding is taken from
Daniel 7:25, "He will speak against the Most High and oppress his
saints and try to change the set times and the laws."

The World Summit on Peace and Time convened at the University
for Peace in Costa Rica on June 22-27, 1999. The University for
Peace is run by the United Nations and the Chancellor is Robert
Muller, a former assistant Secretary-General of the UN (Muller
credits Djwhal Khul, Alice Bailey's guiding spirit, as the inspiration
for his World Core Curriculum for education). The purpose of this
summit was to prepare a Declaration on Calendar Reform as well
as seven accompanying Articles of Resolution. The final goal is to
change the calendar from its present "artificial" twelve month year
to a more "natural" thirteen month year that more closely parallels
the lunar and biological cycles. Kofi Annan and the Dalai Lama
also expressed support for the project and it was attended by
Maurice Strong, the secretary-general of the UN's 1992 Earth
Summit in Rio de Janeiro and highly regarded New World Order
heavyweight. The proposed calendar is declared to be the new
"Calendar of Peace," and the results and declarations of this
summit have been submitted to the General Assembly of the
United Nations and to the Vatican.

Of course a bigger thorn in the side of the New Age movement, and
presumably an irritant to the future Antichrist, is the fact that our
present calendar is now set up to date from what was considered
the year of the birth of Jesus Christ. Every time an individual writes
out a check or signs a document he or she is acknowledging the
amount of time that has passed since the earth's Savior was born.
When the Antichrist does make his public appearance and gains
the necessary power he may indeed initiate calendar reform,
perhaps changing it to a thirteen month year, and most likely doing
away with our system that dates from the year of Christ's birth. To

The Rapture

According to the Bible there will be a future time when all of the
believers in Jesus Christ are taken off of the earth to heaven to be
protected from the time of terrible tribulation known as the Day of
the Lord. This miraculous rescue is described in a number of
Biblical passages such as Matthew 24:36-42, "But of that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father
only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the
Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day
that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came
and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man
be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the
other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken
and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour
your Lord is coming."

And also 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, "For the Lord himself will come
down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the
archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ
will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air..."

The secular media approaches this far-out belief with much
patronizing glee, seeming to ask, "What person in his right mind
would actually believe such ridiculous nonsense!?" The truth is that
there are many people other than just bible-thumping Christians
who believe in a very similar future event:

New Age guru David Spangler writes that "those attuned to the old
world" will be "transported through the [cosmic] law of attraction" to
"another planet, plane of existence or level of earth's
consciousness where they can be contained... the main point is
that they will lose, for the time being, their access to the etheric
planes of power and the ability to control or influence the
developments upon earth." (Revelation, Birth of a New Age, pp.163-
4)

Best-selling New Age author, intellectual and promoter John
Randolph Price was told by his spirit guide Asher, that in the near
future two billion people who could not cope with the reality of the
New Age would be wiped off the face of the earth during the future
"cleansing" period.

New Age channelers and gurus around the world predict an event
very similar to the biblical rapture, yet from their point of view the
rapture will not be an event which rescues God's faithful from His
impending wrath on a wicked world, it will instead be an event that
removes those who lack the proper spiritual vibration. It is said that
those taken are those whose beliefs are characterized as
"intolerant," "fearful" and "of the past." From the New Age
perspective the rapture is seen as a global "cleansing action" that
will remove "dark thought forces" to allow the earth to ascend to a
higher plane of existence.

Barbara Marciniak is another well-known New Age channeler who
predicts this event. This woman claims to have been telepathically
contacted by aliens who come from the star-system of the
Pleiades, and she has written numerous books on the messages
that she has channeled from them. These spirit beings tell her a
number of things regarding the future "shift in consciousness,"

"If human beings do not change -- if they do not make the shift in
values and realize that without Earth they could not be here -- then
Earth, in its love for its own initiation, is reaching for a higher
frequency, will bring about a cleansing that will balance it once
again. There is the potential for many people to leave the planet in
an afternoon."

"The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes
do not fit in here any longer, and they are stopping the harmony of
Earth. When the time comes that perhaps 20 million people leave
the planet at one time there will be a tremendous shift in
consciousness for those who are remaining."

"Some of you want to pretend that the earth changes are not
occurring. However, they are occurring, and there is nothing to fear,
for they are part of the process of the great shift... Whether you
stay on the planet and alter your vibration, or you check out and sit
in the bleachers to watch the show, doesn't really matter. On some
level, in some avenue of existence, you will participate and you will
learn."

Thelma Terrell is yet another New Age author and trance-
channeler. Also known by her spiritual name of "Tuella," she wrote
a book entitled Project World Evacuation. They are messages
channeled from a being who calls himself Ashtar, the leader of an
alien confederation, and throughout it are documented the
predictions that this spirit being has made regarding the future
"evacuation" of a significant number of human beings from off of the
surface of the earth.

As New Age spirituality becomes more widespread the practice of
channeling inter-dimensional beings increases as well. The internet
is full of countless websites dedicated to this anti-biblical practice
of contacting the spirit world. These sites document even more
channelings which predict a future "cleansing action," "evacuation,"
or "transference" of a segment of humanity to another location.

Sheldan Nidle operates the "Planetary Activation Organization,"
based in Maui, Hawaii, which is dedicated to preparing the world for
extra- terrestrial contact. His website contains articles which refer
to an evacuation of certain people to special mother ships of the
inter- galactic fleet. He writes that these people will then go through
a special "orientation training" before being released. In another
section one of Nidle's "lightworkers" asks him if New Age
meditations and rituals might make an evacuation unnecessary.
Nidle responds that although the rituals are essential the
evacuation must still take place.

The Ashtar Command is another internet-based organization that
claims ET connections. They make mention of an "ascension"
process that goes through several phases. The second wave of
Ascension is described as "the beginning of the evacuation," but
the timing of this event is not given because the announcement of
dates "is not permitted." This group also recognizes the Lord
Maitreya as the "current planetary Christ." The Ashtar Command
has branches all over the world including Norway, Brazil, the
Netherlands, Germany and the United States.

Soleira and Santari Green are two channelers from England who
communicate with a being who likes to call himself "Metatron." In
one of their articles Metatron offers a warning to those who resist
"unity" in the New Age,

"It is the time of the joining. It is the time of the choosing. And
those who wish not to walk upon this path will be transitioned,
transferred to a different reality. The time is upon us. The enemy is
at hand and is about to become one with us and will be the enemy
no longer. No longer will be there dark or light, good or bad. Only
will there be unity and those who wish not to operate in unity, will
operate elsewhere in another universe."

Cristah is a Florida based "lightworker" who operates a website
titled "Gateway to Oneness." Within her site are channeled
messages which predict that the earth will soon be ascending into
the fourth dimension, but that individuals who lack the proper
vibration will be left behind. Apparently from the earth's point of view
these individuals will simply appear to blink out of existence.

These are just a few of the many channeled predictions regarding
the future disappearance of millions of people that can be found
within New Age literature and on the internet. This information is
strong evidence in support of the Christian expectation of a
miraculous Rapture of every Saved individual from the earth to
heaven. The only difference is that the Bible predicts that the good
people will be taken while New Age trance-channelers are being

.. Prime Minister Barak would like to take this opportunity to thank
President Clinton for his endless efforts for peace in the Middle
East,
and especially in the last few days, in order to bring about a
cessation
of hostilities in the region. Prime Minister and Defense Minister
Barak
would also like to convey thanks to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan
who
has been shuttling back and forth between us and the Palestinians.
These
efforts finally achieved a summit which will take place this coming
Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh.

We are coming to the summit without preconditions, bearing in mind,
based on the fact that Arafat dropped all his preconditions. There are
no preconditions for the Sharm summit.

Secondly, this summit should put an end to the recent violence which
was
initiated by the Palestinians. This summit should produce an agreement
on the operational steps that Chairman Arafat will take in order to
avoid further violence, as we have all seen in the last few days, and
also to bring about a mechanism that will be watching and controlling
the situation.

There is no room, from the Israeli point of view, for any diplomatic
negotiation in the upcoming summit. This negotiation will take place
in
the future, when there is no violence.

Israel, I repeat, hasn't initiated any act of violence. It only
responded - carefully and cautiously, to any violence which was
inflicted upon her, and thus, the responsibility for the terrible
outcome of that violence so far falls on the Palestinians.

I would also like to take this opportunity to mention the following
points:

A. Israel insists that the release of the Hamas and the Islamic Jihad
people from the Palestinian jails is against the agreements between us
and the Palestinian Authority, and unfortunately may cause more
terrorism. We insist that those terrorists will be immediately be
arrested and put back in jail.

B. Israel demands that the Tanzim organization and Palestinian
policemen
either will not carry arms, or will not use them against Israelis.
Palestinian policemen are entitled to carry weapons, but they are not
supposed to use them against Israelis. The Tanzim is not supposed to
be
an armed organization, and that is why we insist that the Palestinian
Authority will make sure that those arms will be returned to the
Authority.

C. Last but not least, there is an ongoing incitement in the
Palestinian
media, especially television and radio, against Israel. That, again,
is
against the present agreements between us and the Palestinian
Authority,
and it has to be stopped immediately by the Palestinians.

PA TV Broadcasts call for Killing Jews and Americans

Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon in the Zayed bin Sultan Aal
Nahyan mosque in Gaza, broadcast live on the official Palestinian
Authority television. The speaker is Dr. Ahmad Abu Halabiya, Member of
the PA appointed "Fatwa Council" and former acting Rector of the Islamic
University in Gaza:

"…None of the Jews refrain from committing any possible evil. If the
Labor party commits the evil and the crime, the Likud party stands by
it; and if the Likud party commits the evil and the crime, the Labor
party stands by it…. The Jews are Jews, whether Labor or Likud... They
do not have any moderates or any advocates of peace. They are all
liars. They all want to distort truth, but we are in possesion of the
truth."

"O brother believers, the criminals, the terrorists are the Jews, who
have butchered our children, orphaned them, widowed our women and
desecrated our holy places and sacred sites. They are the terrorists.
They are the ones who must be butchered and killed, as Allah the
Almighty said: 'Fight them: Allah will torture them at your hands, and
will humiliate them and will help you to overcome them, and will relieve
the minds of the believers...."

"O brothers in belief, this is the case of the Jews and their habitual
conduct, and what happened yesterday, and has been going on for two
weeks, and before that for many years, and which will be repeated in
future years unless we stand up like men and unless we have the known
Muslim position, [the position] of those who wage Jihad in the path of
Allah, those who defend their rights and who sacrifice all that is dear
to them."

"O brothers in belief, the beautiful bride has a costly price and
dowry.... Our bride is paradise, O brothers in belief. …The cost and
the dowry of this bride, the dowry of this paradise, is that we fight in
the path of Allah, and kill and be killed."

"Allah has purchased from the believers their persons and their property
in return for the promise that they shall have paradise, for they fight
in the cause of Allah, and they slay the enemy and are slain. This is a
promise that He [Allah] has made incumbent upon Himself, as set out in
the Torah, the Gospel, and the Koran…"

"…We say to the Jews, and we say to Clinton, and we say to all those who
supported the Jews and still cooperate with the Jews, we say to them,
that this will not shake us, we are the Palestinian people, who are
positioned in the land of the Isra' and Mi'raj. It will not shake a
single hair of ours. Our determination will not sway. We will raise
the banner of Jihad…"

"…America and Europe and the world were shocked by the kidnapping of
three tramps, the kidnapping of three wretched soldiers, and the killing
of two in Ramallah. But their feelings were not moved, and they did not
shudder when they saw the children Muhammad ad-Durrah and others women,
and men, and youths being martyred by cannons and missiles, and all the
barbaric instruments that the Jews possess."

"They were moved, for the sake of five persons, and the world went into
turmoil and it will not stop for Clinton or for the old hag Albright,
they will not be relieved, and they will not cease to be concerned, and
they will not rest until the Jews return to their families. But as for
the Palestinians, as for this pure blood, it can go to Hell in the eyes
of the Americans and Europe and the Jews…"

"This is the truth, O Brothers in belief. From here, Allah the almighty
has called upon us not to ally with the Jews or the Christians, not to
like them, not to become their partners, not to support them, and not to
sign agreements with them. And he who does that, is one of them, as
Allah said: 'O you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians
as allies, for they are allies of one another. Who from among you takes
them as allies will indeed be one of them…'"

"...The Jews are the allies of the Christians, and the Christians are
the allies of the Jews, despite the enmity that exists between them.
The enmity between the Jews and the Christians is deep, but all of them
are in agreement against the monotheists against those who say, 'There
is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger,' that is they are
against you, O Muslims."

"Even if an agreement of Gaza is signed - we shall not forget Haifa, and
Acre, and the Galilee, and Jaffa, and the Triangle and the Negev, and
the rest of our cities and villages. It is only a matter of time. The
weak will not remain forever weak, and the strong will not remain
forever strong... If we are weak today … and we are not able to regain
our rights, then at least we have to pass on the banner waving high to
our children and grandchildren..."

"…None of the factions is allowed to stand on the sidelines at this
stage, or not to think well of avenging our pure martyrs and wounded.
…Our people must unite in one trench, and receive armaments from the
Palestinian leadership, to confront the Jews. By Allah, the Jews, O
brothers in belief, do not know, nor have they ever known throughout
history, anything but force and Jihad in the path of Allah. The Jews
are like a [gas] pedal as long as you step on it with your foot, it
doesn´t move, but if you lift your foot from it, it hurts you and
punishes you. This is the case of the Jews."

"Have no mercy on the Jews, no matter where they are, in any country.
Fight them, wherever you are. Wherever you meet them, kill them.
Wherever you are, kill those Jews and those Americans who are like them
and those who stand by them they are all in one trench, against the
Arabs and the Muslims because they established Israel here, in the
beating heart of the Arab world, in Palestine. They created it to be
the outpost of their civilization and the vanguard of their army, and
to be the sword of the West and the crusaders, hanging over the necks of
the monotheists, the Muslims in these lands. They wanted the Jews to be
their spearhead …"

"… Let us put our trust in Allah, close ranks, and unite our words, and
the slogan of us all should be, 'Jihad! Jihad! For the sake of
Palestine, and for the sake of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa!'"

"...We will not give up a single grain of soil of Palestine, from Haifa,
and Jaffa, and Acre, and Mulabbas [Petah Tikva] and Salamah, and Majdal
[Ashkelon], and all the land, and Gaza, and the West Bank …"

"...Allah, deal with the Jews, your enemies and the enemies of Islam.
Deal with the crusaders, and America, and Europe behind them, O Lord of
the worlds. …"
