Man becomes God..........
From Skip Goebel
www.sensiblesteam.com
We are the last generation of man.
Today, insulin is made from genetically-altered bacteria.
Today, sweetener is made from genetically-altered potatoes,
along with insecticide. Dolly the sheep was fully-grown in
6 weeks and gives human milk.
The one universal constant is:
Anything that is possible eventually becomes reality.
So...Genetically alter human genes and splice with a joshua
tree or a creosote bush. These are plants that live forever
because they are impervious to all things on this planet and
can regenerate missing limbs.
That means a human that can live forever, no matter what.
This is bigger than any event on Earth, save the flood.
I think the talk shows and the money-chasing religions need
to drop all their menial B.S. and start addressing this
problem (?) or 'event' or whatever you would call it.
It means that today, you and I are the last pure generation...
forever, period, no matter what, etc.......
There are so many ramifications of this subject alone that no
one could ever be an expert, or even know 5% of all there is
to know.
Discussion is futile - we have been assimilated.

Subject: [BPR] - China threatens to nuke America

China threatens to nuke America
'First wage 'Vietnam'-like conflict, then bomb U.S., says PLA document
By Charles Smith
=A9 2000 WorldNetDaily.com
A recently-declassified Chinese military document states communist China
will first conduct a "Vietnam"-like conventional war against American
forces, and then eventually fight a nuclear war against the U.S. homeland.
The document, recently translated by an American intelligence agency, was
sent by the Chinese army central command to all the regional garrisons and
army corps headquarters in China. A copy was obtained by WorldNetDaily
for this exclusive report.
According to the August 1999 policy document published by the People's
Liberation Army Office of the Central Military Command, China is "willing
to sustain major losses of our armed forces" in exchange for large losses
of U.S. military personnel. The Central Military Command is the party
command structure of the People's Liberation Army -- that is, the people
who make policy for the Chinese military.
"If the U.S. forces lose thousands or hundreds of men under our powerful
strikes, the anti-war sentiment within their country will force the U.S.
government to take the same path as they did in Viet Nam," states the
Chinese army document.
Titled "Watching Closely for Changes in Relationships with Taiwan and
Enhancing Awareness of Military Leadership of Current Situation," the
Chinese army strategy document also describes a chilling scenario of
nuclear war with America.
"In comparison with the U.S. nuclear arsenal, our disadvantage is mainly
numeric, which in real wars the qualitative gap will be reflected only as
different requirement of strategic theory. In terms of deterrence, there is not
any difference in practical value. So far we have built up the capability for the
second and third nuclear strikes and are fairly confident in fighting a nuclear
war. The PCC (Communist Party Central Committee) has decided to pass
through formal channels this message to the top leaders in the U.S."
The Chinese army command document also noted that recent U.S. combat
experience cannot be compared to a future war with the massive People's
Liberation Army. China is capable of massing millions of troops, and has
over 5,000 aircraft that can be thrown into a battle over Taiwan. In
addition, the Chinese military noted it had a clear edge in fighting a
tactical nuclear war with American forces in the Pacific region.
"In terms of air defense," noted the Chinese army document, "it is
impossible for the U.S. Air Force to enjoy the kind of dominance which they
maintained in Iraq or Yugoslavia."
"It can be safely expected that once the U.S. launches an attack, the front
line of U.S. forces and their supporting bases will be exposed within the
range of our effective strikes. After the first strategic strike, the U.S. forces
will be faced with weaponry and logistic problems, providing us with
opportunities for major offensives and win large battles."
According to the Chinese military, "Unlike Iraq and Yugoslavia, China is not
only a big country, but also possesses a nuclear arsenal that has long since
been incorporated into state warfare system and play a real role in our
national defense."
"During the last crisis across the Taiwan Straits, the U.S. tried to blackmail
us with their aircraft carrier(s), but when their spy satellites confirmed that
our four nuclear submarines which used to be stationed at Lushun Harbor
had disappeared, those politicians addicted to the Taiwan card could not
imagine how worried their military commander were."
The Chinese military command also outlined its plan for a quick victory by
using overwhelming numbers in a massive assault against Taiwan.
"Taiwan occupies only a small area. Although the quality of its equipment
is not too bad, its quantity is limited. It is obvious that after the first
fatal strike, the Taiwan forces have no way to organize effective resistance.
Under such circumstances, we will be able to control Taiwan before the U.S.
intervention and then concentrate our forces to fight the U.S. Based on this
scenario, it is impossible for the U.S. to force us to fight on two fronts when
it tries to protect Taiwan."
The Chinese army document also noted that the Chinese diplomatic attack
has started in the "war" with America. According to the military, recent
Chinese diplomatic efforts successfully lined up a solid wall of support from
the other Asian powers, allowing the Chinese army to move forces south in
preparation for an invasion of Taiwan.
"Internationally, President Jiang Zemin will go to Biskek in late September to
attend the five-country meeting, including China, Russia, Kyrgzstan,
Kazakstan and Tajikstan. The meeting will sum up and expand cooperations
in the field of security and reach agreements on reduction of armed forces
stationed along the borders and establishment of military trust."
"The above efforts will not only eliminate security concerns along our rear by
reducing the traditional pressure along our northeast and northwest border,
and increase the proportion of forces which can be moved to the southeast
coastal regions, but also serve to ensure our exchanges with the outside
world by land routes during the war."

NEAR tightens orbit, beams asteroid with laser
By Richard Stenger
CNN Interactive Staff Writer

LAUREL, Maryland (CNN) -- The NEAR spacecraft tightened its orbit around
Eros on Friday to an altitude of approximately 130 miles (208 km), slightly
further than expected but well within the acceptable range, a mission
scientist said.
The first artificial satellite around an asteroid, the NASA robot ship will chart
the surface topography and gravitational field of Eros over the next month,
using a variety of sophisticated instruments, including a laser range finder
that it used for the first time this week.
The Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) craft began a yearlong orbit on
February 14. Scientists hope its detailed study of Eros will offer clues about
the origins of the solar system.
NEAR had been circling Eros from about 200 miles (320 km). A 15-second
engine burn Friday nudged it closer, but preliminary estimates suggest not
enough to reach the target distance of 124 miles (200 km).
"It looks like the burn was a little short (but) it's good enough," said Bob
Farquhar, mission director for the NEAR project.
Laser beam caresses surface
The spacecraft aimed its laser range finder earlier this week, firing a red
beam at the space rock twice the size of Manhattan.
Scientists plan to use the laser more extensively when NEAR closes in even
further on Eros, obtaining precise measurements about the surface features
on the potato-shaped asteroid.
"We will get a good shape model from this. Probably more accurate than
with the optical instruments," Farquhar said.
Moving 3 mph (5 km/h) in relation to Eros, NEAR will orbit the asteroid three
times from its current distance.
Another engine burn on April 1 will nudge it into an orbit 60 miles (100 km)
from Eros, now about 152 million miles (245 million km) from Earth.
Mission scientists have good reason to proceed cautiously each time they
move NEAR closer to Eros, which tumbles in an eccentric manner as it
circles the sun.
"We don't want to crash it into the asteroid, so we're going down slowly and
carefully," Farquhar said.

Persistent cyclone bears down on third Australian region
March 5, 2000
8:38 PM HKT (1238 GMT)
PERTH, Australia (AP) -- Cyclone Steve, which has left a teen dead in
a drowning and caused millions of dollars of damage in northeastern
and central Australia, reappeared for the third time Sunday and headed
for a Western Australian town.
Broome, 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) north of the state capital of
Perth, was placed on cyclone alert. Forecasters said that if the
cyclone, which had been earlier downgraded to a tropical storm,
continued to intensify, it could reach the Broome region by Monday.
Steve had originally hit at Cairns in north Queensland state on
February 27, then degenerated into a tropical low before being reborn
as a cyclone in the Gulf of Carpentaria off northeast Australia.
On Thursday, the cyclone passed Katherine in the Northern Territory,
blocking the highway from the north and making many roads impassable.
A teen-ager was swept to his death last Monday while riding an
inflated tire tube in a flood-swollen creek about 100 kilometers (60
miles) south of Cairns.
Graham Jones of the Insurance Council of Australia inspected damage to
the Cairns region last week and said the repair bill to homes and
businesses would likely reach U.S. $9.1 million.
Damage to crops or infrastructure such as roads also is expected to
run into the millions of dollars.

IT'S OFFICIAL: WITHDRAWAL BY JULY
Following a three-and-a-half hour meeting today, the government
announced its unanimous decision to withdraw its forces from
southern Lebanon by July. The intention is to redeploy along the
northern border and protect the northern communities from there.
Today's session followed an eight-hour meeting on the same topic
last week, enabling government ministers such as David Levy and
Yossi Beilin, who did not speak last week, to have their say today.
Today's decision stipulates that the government will attempt to
reach an agreement with Syria on the withdrawal, but will convene
at a later date in the event that no such agreement is reached in
order to decide how to implement the pullback. The decision also
stipulates that Israel will provide aid to SLA soldiers and strengthen
northern communities.
An IDF soldier was wounded by Hizbullah mortar fire last night in
southern Lebanon, and is listed in moderate to severe condition.
Israel Air Force planes attacked terrorist targets in the central
sector of the security zone last night, and Israeli air raids and
exchange of fire continued yet again today.
Prime Minister Ehud Barak said today that there are no direct
contacts between Israel and Syria at present. He added, however,
that the U.S. is facilitating indirect communication. Barak told the
Cabinet today that if the talks with Syria do not resume within two
months, it will be hard to achieve an agreement in the foreseeable
future.
KINNERET LEVEL
The Kinneret is rising steadily, and is now at 212.12 meters below
sea level - 88 centimeters above the "red line," but still 3.2 meters
below the optimal level. The water level has increased by over a
meter since the beginning of the winter.
PREPARING FOR SHMITTAH
Public preparations for the upcoming Shmittah year, beginning next
October, are underway. Shmittah occurs once every seven years,
as a Sabbatical period during which the Land of Israel must lie
fallow, according to Biblical law. Housing Minister Rabbi Yitzchak
Levy (NRP) has issued instructions to speed up all processes
having to do with new plantings and the maintenance of public
green areas.
COLLECTING SHEKALIM
The new umbrella organization formed to unify the efforts to
increase Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) awareness has begun a
new Shekalim campaign, in honor of the month of Adar and the
traditional collection of shekels for the Temple. A silver-plated coin
minted specially for the occasion is being offered for purchase, with
the Hebrew words "Temple Treasury" engraved on one side, and
"Anticipating the Renewal of the Commandment of Giving a Half-
Shekel" on the other. Rabbi Menachem Makover, director of the
Temple Institute in Jerusalem, told Arutz-7's Yosef Zalmanson
today that the purpose of the campaign is to "increase public
awareness of the importance of the Temple in our lives. We want
to remind ourselves that this is a live issue, one that is dynamically
relevant." He admitted that it is hard for us to understand what we
are missing, "but our purpose is to do just that."
Rabbi Makover said that the money being raised would be used not
only to build more Temple instruments, "of which we presently have
far from enough," but also to carry out large-scale educational
programs on the centrality of the Temple. He emphasized that
those who contribute are clearly informed that the money is not
consecrated for actual Temple use, but merely for "preparing the
way."
