The Leading of Souls Astray
In our message 'Celebrating Another Jesus in the Year 2000' at:
http://www.rapturewatch.com/urrepcel20.html, we
shared how the Jesus of the Bible is being misrepresented so
that humanistic centered dominion and kingdom now
devotees can garner large followings contrary to the end-time
prophetic revelation of Scriptures, which reveal a swift
and destructive end for this present generation. Many sincere
Christians are being led astray by these teachings
which belittle, cast doubt or disregard the Scriptures, which
proclaim the coming of the Lord draws near.

Subject: [BPR] - Supreme Court says tax money can go to religious schools

Supreme Court says tax money can go to religious schools
June 28, 2000
Web posted at: 5:44 p.m. EDT (2144 GMT)
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that taxpayer
money may be used to buy computers and other materials for religious and
other private schools.
The 6-3 ruling should speed federal efforts to connect every American
classroom to the Internet. The decision also is sure to be cited as a big
victory for proponents of using public money for tuition aid to families who
send their children to religious schools.
Politically charged legal fights over tuition vouchers are being waged in
numerous lower courts.
The central issue in Mitchell v. Helms and school vouchers is whether
taxpayer money can be used by private or religious school students.
Details of the 1965 law
Section 2 of the act allows federal money to be used to provide millions of
schoolchildren -- regardless of whether they attend public, private or religious
schools -- with books, computers and other instructional materials.
That did not sit well with Mary Helms, a parent of a public-school student in
Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Helms argued that the act violates the
Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which says Congress "shall
make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
The lawsuit by Helms and other public-school parents in Jefferson Parish
stemmed from the fact that Helms had to wake up her daughter early to
catch the school bus. That was because the buses also were being used to
transport students to a Catholic school.
Helms and other parents learned in 1984 that public funds also were being
used to supply Jefferson Parish parochial schools with $18 million worth of
textbooks, overhead projectors and other school supplies.
Interestingly, traditional foes of public funding for private schools -- the
American Civil Liberties Union and the National Education Association --
were quiet when the law was passed.
Now, both groups argue that the law as it is applied raises fundamental
constitutional question because it is impossible to truly determine if the
material is being used to advance a particular religious cause.
Lower court rulings and related high court decisions
A federal judge ruled in favor of Helms, siding with the argument that the act
runs counter to the First Amendment.
But when the defendants -- Guy Mitchell and other parents of religious
school students in Louisiana, state officials and the U.S. Department of
Education -- asked for a review of the case, a new judge ruled that Chapter 2
of the act is indeed constitutional.
Prior U.S. Supreme Court decisions had distinguished between textbooks
and other materials. The court has ruled textbooks can be reviewed for bias
whereas the other materials could not be so easily monitored to determine
whether they were being used to promote a particular religious agenda.
The case remained in lower federal courts for 13 years before it reached the
5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
After the defendants appealed, the Supreme Court accepted the case in
June 1999 and heard oral arguments in April.

Subject: [BPR] - Modern Mummification

By Hannah Wolfson
The Associated Press
S A L T L A K E C I T Y, June 27 If burial sounds
boring and cremation leaves you cold, here´s another idea:
mummification.
This isn´t your standard wrap, either. We´re talking high-
tech interment, a combination of ancient art and tomorrow´s
science. The basic procedure can run about $63,000,
according to Summum, a Salt Lake City religious group that
says there is little use in shopping around.
We´re the only ones worldwide that do modern
mummification, said Corky Ra, Summum´s founder and leader.
Think of mummification as just another option for those
who don´t want to go out the old-fashioned way.

*The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has been creating what they call
a "Temple-in-waiting" in the Jewish Quarter. They have detailed
blueprints which were drawn up according to the Bible, Mishnah and
Josephus (with additions like electricity that agree with Jewish
Law).
They have also been producing things necessary for Temple services:
*high priest's robe
*high priest's crown
*high priest's breastplate
*priestly garments
*11 sacrificial incense spices
*urns
*ewers
*incense pans
*forks
*shovels
*carts (for burnt offerings)
*gold and silver vessels
*gold laver
*flasks
*measuring cups
*vessels for meal offerings
*lottery boxes
*mortar and pestle
*gold menorah
*cleaning instruments
*oil pitchers
*silver trumpets
*barley altar
*The 70 seat Supreme Court building which will house the Sanhedrin
has also been built close to the Temple Mount. "Since 1984, the legal
stipulations that the Sanhedrin will use to govern Israel's
relationship to the rebuilt Temple and its services have already been
researched and progressively published by the Research Center for
Jewish Thought."
*The priests who will make up the Sanhedrin and serve in the Temple
are being identified and trained. According to Rabbinic tradition,
men of the tribe of Levi are forbidden to change their names, so all
Levis, Cohens (and derivatives of those names) are potential
candidates. Recent DNA studies of Jewish males claiming levitical
descent have found a unique Y-chromosone that distinguishes them from
other Jews who do not claim such a heritage.
*There are a few schools in Israel now training young Levites for
priestly service.
*Some red heifers have been found in Mississippi and deemed
qualified.
*A few families in Israel have volunteered their unborn children to
be raised as pure priests. When these boys reach their 13th birthday,
they will be qualified to burn the red heifer and distribute its
ashes (required to cleanse from ritual impurity).

Subject: [BPR] - Barak preserves Moslem status quo
From: bpr-list@philologos.org("Moza")
Date: Thu, 29 Jun 2000 09:43:42 -0400
BARAK PRESERVES MOSLEM STATUS QUO
The mystery surrounding a Temple Mount-related meeting in the Prime
Minister Barak's office yesterday has been cracked. In a cryptic statement
at the close of the meeting, Barak's office declared: "The Prime Minister has
approved the Israel Police and GSS recommendations on what measures are
to be taken or avoided regarding the Temple Mount, in line with the principles
of maintaining the status-quo and not damaging archaeological artifacts,
while recognizing the importance of the site for both Jews and Moslems."
Writing in today's edition of Ha'aretz, journalist Nadav Shragai reports that
Barak rejected the advice of both Atty.-Gen. Elyakim Rubenstein and the
Antiquities Authority to halt or limit the recently begun Waqf tiling of 200
square meters of the Temple Mount. Barak also decided to forbid actions
that would prevent the entry of heavy machinery, trucks and tractors to the
Mount. According to Shragai, "he directed the relevant officials to maintain
'reasonable supervision' of the traffic entering and leaving the compound
through the Lions' Gate." Barak did, however, instruct that Antiquities
Authority archaeologists be allowed into the area to prevent the tiling work
from developing "into more extensive construction activity."
Israel television reporter Benny Liss indicated today that a level of
coordination exists between the Waqf and Israeli law enforcement authorities
regarding the illegal construction. Speaking with Arutz-7, Liss said that
three days ago, he hired a helicopter to fly over the Mount in an effort to
capture an aerial view of what was actually taking place there. "Shortly
before the flight, I got a call from the helicopter company saying that the
Waqf had learned of the flight, called the police; the police in turn called the
air traffic tower in Atarot, which then informed the pilot that he had no
permission to fly over the Mount. The Waqf has an interest in ensuring that
photos of the area do not reach the public."

ANGER AT FATIMA 'BETRAYAL'
>From The Times, 29 June 2000
Madrid: A shadow has been cast over one of Europe's most famous
Catholic sanctuaries after its mystique was punctured by the Vatican's
controversial decision to reveal the last of its secret prophecies
(Giles Tremlett writes). Six million penitents visited Fatima in
Portugal last year, in part attracted by a secret prophecy that,
according to popular belief, predicted a nuclear war or some other
doomsday event.
The penitents, some of whom traditionally make the last part of the
journey on their knees, left behind nearly =A34 million in donations of
gold and jewellery.
The revelation on Monday that there were no doomsday predictions has
provoked angry reactions from the Portuguese church over the decision
to keep the prophecy secret for half a century.
"Dismayed, cheated and betrayed, that is how many people feel," the O
Publico newspaper said yesterday as it summed up the reaction in
Portugal to the third prophecy.
A Vatican statement showed that the end of the world had never been
foreseen in Fatima. The prophecy, based on a vision seen by three
shepherd children in 1917, instead predicted the murder of a
white-robed priest believed to be a Pope.
Bishop Januario Torgal demanded: "If the Vatican knew that it was not
apocalyptic, why on Earth did it only make it public now?"
A friar, Mario de Oliveira, even claimed that Sister Lucia dos Santos,
who saw the vision but did not write about it until 1944, lived in a
"delirious world of infantile fantasies" and suffered "religious
hallucinations".

HARRY POTTER'S WORLD OF THE OCCULT-The fourth book of the
Harry Potter series is due July 8. This popular series
glamorizes witchcraft, disobedience and magic. It has
frightening dark tales of witches (6/15 USA Today). Among
the terrifying images: a disembodied voice repeatedly
hissing "kill"; monstrous flesh-eating spiders; children
being attacked and paralyzed; an apparently dead cat hung
upside down by its tail. And there are creatures that "suck
out people's souls." It gives children an appetite for the
occult (see 12/1/99 CC).
VERMONT FIRST TO RECOGNIZE HOMOSEXUAL UNIONS-Vermont's
civil union law won't affect just Vermont (6/17 World).
"Gay" activists' legal strategy is to legalize "marriage"
in one state, then attack traditional marriage laws in all
others. Homosexual activists will now go to Vermont, get
"married," return to their home states, and sue for legal
recognition of their marital unions.
MISSIONS & PSYCHOHERESY is the name of the latest book by
Martin & Deidre Bobgan. It is primarily about the growing
practice of mental health professionals and psychological
tests to evaluate missionary candidates and to provide
psychological care for missionaries. In giving psychology
such a place in selecting candidates and providing
treatment of missionaries, mission agencies demonstrate
their trust in psychologists and their devices. The results
of surveying 35 large mission agencies is given. This 168-
page book is available at the special price of $9.00 from:
PsychoHeresy Awareness Ministries, 4137 Primavera Rd.,
Santa Barbara, CA 93110, 800/216-4696.
POPE PROMOTES HOAX AS TRUTH-The Vatican May 13 disclosed
that the so-called secret of Fatima, which the Virgin Mary
is claimed to have told three children over 80 years ago,
was a foretelling of the shooting of the Pope and the
persecution of Christianity under communism. But the Pope
is not telling the truth when he claims Mary appeared at
Fatima in 1917 and predicted his shooting in 1981 (5/29
Christian News). Billy Graham and other evangelical leaders
praise the Pope and trust his truthfulness, but he is not
to be trusted in this and other false claims of Catholicism
- nor when he claims that Jews, Muslims, and other non-
Christians worship the same God Christians worship.
SINEAD O'CONNOR A 'GAY' PRIEST?-Irish singer Sinead
O'Connor has apologized for ripping up a picture of the
Pope on Sat. Night Live in 1992 and last year was ordained
a priest by the Latin Tridentine Church, a splinter group
of the Roman Catholic Church (per her Web page & 6/13 USA
Today). She now claims to be a lesbian.
HOMESCHOOLER NATIONAL SPELLING BEE WINNER The top three
finishers in last month's National Spelling Bee are
educated at home, as are 1.5 million. President Clinton
thinks homeschoolers should be made to "prove they are
learning on a regular basis" or be forced to go to
government schools. Yet homeschooled kids consistently
score higher on standardized tests (Cal Thomas, 6/17
World). Homeschoolers forge a special parent-child bond. As
for socialization, one said he is happy to avoid school
shootings and competition over clothes and cliques.
Homeschooled children have plenty of time to socialize.
NCC NEAR DEATH, BUT WANTS RESURRECTION The proud
ecumenical National Council of Churches is teetering on the
brink of bankruptcy. But its board has adopted a resolution
to develop a new ecumenical body that by 2003, it hopes,
will include Catholics, evangelicals and Pentecostals (6/17
World). The NCC has a long history of being a hotbed of
liberalism, communist sympathizers, abortion supporters,
homosexuality supporters, radical theology promoters, and
being more political than religious or spiritual (6/00
Maranatha Bapt. Watchman). Bob Edgar is its new Gen. Sec'y;
Andrew Young is president.
CATHOLICS ARE STILL WRONG ON SALVATION Last Oct.,
representatives of the Lutheran World Federation and of the
Roman Catholic Church signed a Joint Declaration on
Justification, disclaiming previous differences (12/1/99
CC). But Catholics still pray to Mary for salvation, and
still believe that the "merits and graces Christ won on the
cross" can only be received in small installments which
never fully save and which come only through the sacraments
of the Church. They still flagellate themselves and offer
good works and suffering to earn salvation (6/00 Berean
Call). Be warned, be wise, beware!
TIMMIS EXITS PK BOARD, NOW AT PRISON FELLOWSHIP-Promise
Keepers has been closely tied in with Roman Catholics and
have used some as speakers. Mike Timmis (RC) recently left
Promise Keepers' board and has taken Chuck Colson's place
as head of Prison Fellowship (11/15/99 CC). Colson, Timmis,
and Jim Berlucchi (PK's Catholic evangelist) were scheduled
speakers along with two Catholic priests at the "Catholic
Men's Conference" June 9-11 at the Franciscan University of
Steubenville, Ohio, which is heavily involved with Marian
apparitions and with PK (6/00 Berean Call).
ANIMAL RIGHTS? To a Princeton U. ethicist, an infant has
no more right to life than another being of comparable
rationality, including pigs, cows, and hogs. Jesus asked,
in Matt. 6:26, "Are ye not better than they (fowls)?
ROBERTSON, ECUMENICAL ICON-Pat Robertson has become an
icon for the ecumenical movement through a variety of
venues. He endorsed the Evangelicals & Catholics Together
(ECT). He founded the now defunct Catholic Alliance. During
the Pope's 1995 visit to New York Robertson led an
ecumenical procession including five Muslim leaders and 27
Protestant and Orthodox reps to participate in the Mass. He
is quoted as praising the Pope and saying "We all want to
build bridges with the Catholic Church." At Regent
University where Robertson is chancellor and its president
is a Roman Catholic, mass is said on campus each week. [Dr.
Rod Bell, May/June Frontline, adapted. Dr. Bell also said
the president and the football coach at Dr. Jerry Falwell's
Liberty University are Roman Catholics - see 1/1/99 CC.]
NAE VEERS LEFTWARD-The National Association of
Evangelicals recently dropped its by-law prohibiting member
denominations from joint membership in the liberal NCC
(4/15 CC). Now the Reformed Church in America, an NCC
affiliate, has requested NAE membership (6/00 Review). The
NAE's newest member is the charismatic Association of
Vineyard Churches. NAE's new president, Bishop Kevin
Mannoia, said the NAE's reason for existence has changed
from providing an alternative to liberalism to calling the
church to transform communities (6/00 Bapt. Bulletin).
Christian News Editor Herman Otten advises: "True
Christians in the NAE should now vigorously protest that
the NAE now admits NCC churches. If [it] refuses to change
its policy, they should leave the NAE." Moody Bible
Institute President Joseph Stowell joined the NAE a few
years ago.
THE APOSTASY CYCLE-Never in the history of religious union
has any group ever come out of apostasy, modernism, or
liberalism and not ultimately returned to it. Some have
taken longer, and others may be in the process, but the
record shows the only thing a group can do is delay or
retard the return to old roots. Sadly this is also true of
educational institutions, missions, and churches. The seeds
of their doom appear to exist in their birth out of
modernism. In an earlier article, "Burning Bridges and
Building Walls," I said in order to maintain an element of
safety, nothing can be left which will allow a return. No
organizational bridges/ties can be left standing. To leave
liberalism behind for long, we must pursue a "slash and
burn" policy-destroy all possible means of return. There
is no simple way to leave apostasy. Upon leaving the old
liberalism/apostasy of the 1920's, evangelicals failed
these tests. Their policy of "inclusivism" left bridges
standing thus their return to modernistic roots is evident.
Sadly, some groups ridiculed as "separatists" are
rebuilding bridges back to liberalism. Their error was in
leaving intact ties which should have been cut. This was a
great sin of Israel when returning to the Promised Land.
They failed to destroy and drive out the heathen and paid
the price for disobedience. These bridges let them move to
idol worship. The historical record gives evidence that
once the return has begun, nothing can reverse it. Don't
use the Southern Baptist Convention as an example of a
return - it is an excellent example of this principle.
Though some retardation has occurred, the train is speeding
toward apostasy and infidelity. Some people may be fooled
when you call infidels "liberals," liberals "moderates," or
moderates "conservatives," but changing titles will not
hide the awful destination of those who once came out of
apostasy but now have long tolerated it. [Dr. Clay Nuttall,
adapted]

FBF MEETING-The Fundamental Baptist Fellowship approved
the following standing resolutions at its June 13-15 80th
Annual Meeting at Faith Baptist Church, Taylors, SC.,
reaffirming its commitment to: 1. The fundamentals of the
faith, 2. Inspiration and Inerrancy, 3. Virgin Birth and
Deity of Jesus Christ, 3. Vicarious Atonement and Bodily
Resurrection, 4. The Supernatural and Sensational, and 5.
Biblical Mandate for Separation. Next year's FBF meeting is
set for the First Baptist Church of Troy, Mich., pastored
by Dr. Mike Harding.
FBF RESOLUTION ON SEPARATION- The FBF reaffirms its
commitment to the Biblical doctrines of personal separation
from worldliness and ecclesiastical separation from
unbelief and compromise (1 Jn. 2:15-17; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 2
Thes. 3:6; Rom. 16:17). Fundamental Baptists cannot
cooperate with New Evangelicals because they disobey the
clear commands of Scripture, thereby rejecting the Bible as
their final authority. Instead of separation, they favor a
philosophy and practice of dialogue and infiltration. New
Evangelicals desire to have the commendation of the customs
and conventions of our culture (the world), in violation of
Scriptures such as 1 John 2:15-16. Instead of influencing a
corrupt culture, they are instead corrupted by it. New
Evangelicals are more concerned with man's needs than with
God's commands
.The FBF supports wholeheartedly those who
led a May 15 protest [in Toronto] of the Anglican
"betrayal [by meeting with Catholic leaders to discuss how
to unite the two churches] of the Protestant faith."
IBFNA MEETING- The Independent Baptist Fellowship of North
America held its 10th Annual Conference at Bethel Baptist
Church, Sellersville, Pa., June 20-22. The Fellowship
highlighted its history by honoring those who have made
significant contributions to the establishment and
development of the IBFNA. Drs. Duane Brown, Ralph Colas,
and Richard Harris were presented the "Watchman Award" in
recognition of their steadfastness, courage, and boldness
in guiding the IBFNA in its earliest stages, including its
days as the "Regular Baptists For Revival". The men
reminisced, and recognition was also given to others,
including those who have served as officers. The new
Moderator is Clay Nuttall, Treasurer is Jeff Bailey, Dave
Reinhardt is Secretary, and Paul Gustine is Review Editor.
A proposed amendment by Bob Payne restricting IBFNA
affiliation was tabled until next year. Next year's meeting
is set for Williamsburg, Va., for June 19-21.
IBFNA RESOLUTIONS- Three resolutions were passed. The
Defense of the Gospel resolution was a strong call for
separation, defining it by Scriptures as 1. the mark of
God's Holiness, 2. personal, 3. ecclesiastical/corporate,
and 4. political. It noted that separation, the hallmark of
the IBFNA over the past ten years, must be applied and
practiced to be effective. It resolved to separate from
brethren who persist in immorality or cause unnecessary
divisions among the brethren, and from unrepentant,
disorderly brethren who persist in memberships,
affiliations and fellowships where leaders and peers deny
Bible doctrines, etc. The second resolution pertained to
Mormonism-A non-prophet religion. It concluded that
"Mormonism, which preaches a false Christ and deceives
many, is a cult that is outside the realm of Christianity
and the true church of Jesus Christ." The third IBFNA
resolution was against "Identificational Repentance"-the
practice of individuals or groups who had no
responsibility, authority or adequate knowledge repenting
for someone else and asking forgiveness for them. E.g.,
this practice has been adopted by the pope when he
"repented" for the past "excesses of the Inquisition" by
Catholicism without condemning its atrocities as a whole.

'Religious Wrong' Exposed at Fistgate
GLSTN workshop taught how to oppose religion
By Tom Duggan
A workshop about "The Religious Wrong" was conducted by
gay activist Leif Mitchell at "Fistgate," where state
teachers taught graphic sex to teenagers and teachers from
across Massachusetts.
Mitchell is the Community Educator/Trainer for Planned
Parenthood of Connecticut and he is on the National board
of GLSEN. He trains teachers and children about sex
education in the classroom and how to integrate
homosexuality into the curriculum of public schools.
Mitchell told the audience he follows the Religious Wrong
"religiously" and has been infiltrating religious groups
for many years.
The program guide stated: "This workshop will explore ways
to counteract the messages used by the Wrong. Participants
will learn exactly what the Wrong is saying about 'us' (and
who that includes) as well as develop strategies to tackle
opposition..."
After his brief introduction, Mitchell showed a video to
the audience containing hate speech against Christians and
other people of faith. "The video was very disturbing," one
teacher told Massachusetts News. "They showed various
images and quotes from Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson to
give the impression that their views were shared by all
religious adversaries. It was an attack on all people of
faith. Anyone who disagreed with Mr. Mitchell was labeled a
homophobe and compared to Robertson and Falwell. Mr.
Mitchell concluded after the video 'This is who we are
fighting! This is the religious right!'"
The teacher said she thought the conference was supposed
to be about safe schools and stopping discrimination. "To
think that David Driscoll and the Department of Education
would be preaching religious hatred to students and
teachers under the pretense of safe schools was
frightening. And they were using our tax dollars to endorse
it. This was nothing more than a government -sponsored
attack on religion and anyone who disagrees with the gay
political agenda on the far left," she said.
At one point in the video they said 'Studies show that
lesbians are the best mothers in America. Are you
interested in the truth Pat (Robertson)?' The teacher says
she was shocked. "I have been teaching for over 25 years
and I' ve been studying these issues for over a decade. I
have never seen a study that lesbians make better mothers.
I was traumatized by what I was seeing. What was really
appalling to me was that no teacher in the room seemed to
be bothered by what Mitchell and the video was saying. They
just took it all in and accepted it as fact."
Mitchell then asked the audience to break up into small
discussion groups. The teacher recounts: "We were told to
discuss our experiences and strategies on how to deal with
religious opposition to gay activists in our communities.
It didn't sound like tolerance to me. This sounded more
like hate speech. If I had spoken of any of the things that
they directed at traditional religion, only said them about
homosexuals instead, I would be called a hate monger and a
homophobe. But when God-fearing people are labeled and
attacked, it is not only tolerated, our government
sanctions it."
Mitchell said he considered himself a "spiritual person
but not religious" and labeled religious followers as
"those people." A teacher in the audience asked Mr.
Mitchell if he couldn't make an argument for free speech on
the other side, for the religious people who feel
differently. Mitchell became very adamant and didn't even
let him finish his question. 'There is no argument."
Mitchell charged. "We are right and they are wrong." The
teacher responded that he "didn't think we were going to
get very far with that kind of reasoning."
Mitchell then turned to the audience and explained the
need to combat such questions by using safety and suicide
prevention issues as their mantra. Several times during the
discussions Mitchell told the participants when they get in
trouble during such discussion with the public or the press
to: "Just keep bringing it back to safety in the schools.
That's the message."
Comparing 'The Religious Wrong' to Hitler Mitchell then
talked about a website www.wiredstrategies.com/Hitler which
compares religious people to Hitler and the Nazis. The
website contains headlines such as:
"Nazi Anti-Jewish Speech vs. Religious Right Anti-Gay
Speech: Are They Similar?" The site shows a side-by-side
comparison of Nazi propaganda against Jews during WWII with
the "Christian anti-gay movement" of today saying:
"...are fundamentalist Christians using anti-gay arguments
that echo back to the Nazi era?" This page compares quotes
from The Eternal Jew with Christian conservatives' modern-
day quotes about gay Americans.
Mitchell spoke of religious people, hatred, homophobia,
religion and the religious wrong as though each word were
synonymous, interchanging religion and the Religious Wrong
with Hitler, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and even the
murder of Matthew Sheppard.
Strategies to "Combat the Religious Wrong" Mitchell
outlined his strategies on combating the Religious Wrong
"in your community."
1) Focus on Violence Prevention. Always go back to the
issues of safety to explain why Gay/Straight Alliances need
to be formed. "Violence helps us!" he said.
He said violence in the schools helps because that means
there is more of a need for safety education. One teacher
said, "That means they get to have more of these seminars,
more money from the government and more government
sponsored political activism. Just imagine having a
workshop to combat violence and then telling young children
to be activists and concluding with, 'Violence helps us.'"
2) Focus on Legal Perspectives, He used the 1996 lawsuit
which was settled for $900,000. The suit was about Jamie
Dboznia who was not protected from gay bashing by his
school. "Focusing on legal perspectives also helps to bring
the focus back to safe schools," he said.
3) Put a Face on Homophobia. "Matthew Sheppard is a good
example," Mitchell said. "But he is not the most diverse
person you can use. He only got all that the publicity
because he was white."
4) Use Statistics Effectively. "Just the Facts was sent to
all Superintendents in the country," Mitchell said. "Now
the opposition has a response, 'Just the Facts on Just the
Facts,' but they have no credible organizations or data to
support them in this, unlike the original which came from
the Center for Disease Control and the Youth Risk Survey."
5) Build Coalitions Proactively with Like-minded Groups.
"Be prepared and come together," he said. "Use the
Coalition for Democracy, use the NAACP, The Anti-Defamation
League and Planned Parenthood." "Remember," Mitchell told
the audience, "It is very important to tie the Religious
Right to hatred."
Jennings Also Attacked Religion
The keynote speaker, Kevin Jennings, co-founder of GLSEN,
also attacked religion and even used the Gospel to
do so. He used the story of the widow's mite to
motivate children in the audience to give all they
can give to the gay and lesbian community.
"This is ridiculous," exclaimed one teacher in utter
disbelief. "I know that Bible passage and it is a direct
reference to giving all you can to God. How ironic that
GLSEN is preaching hatred towards religious people,
attacking religion as 'wrong' and at the same time they are
quoting Jesus and twisting the scripture. Why doesn't David
Driscoll know what he is promoting? If he really doesn't
know what is happening at these workshops maybe we need a
Commissioner who will pay more attention to what's going
on."
A handout attacked religion and people of faith. It
promoted a book by a lesbian activist who claimed to expose
"The Right and THEIR Agenda; The Right's overall goals, the
targets of their organizing efforts, the strategies they
employ, and who benefits from their agenda."
Another publication which was handed out included an
article entitled: "Teaching Outside the Curriculum:
Guerrilla Sex Education and the Public Schools" from the
Radical Teacher, which listed its sponsor as "The Coalition
for Positive Sexuality," which promotes the idea, "Just Say
Yes." The article stated emphatically :
"We hope that students do get ideas from our booklet -
ideas about how to talk about sex as well as how to do it,
how to get pleasure with their bodies as well as how to
take care of them."
The Minuteman Library Network, which is composed of 34
suburban towns from Cambridge and Brookline out to
Holliston and Medway, recommends to students that the best
Internet site to learn about sexuality is "The Coalition
for Positive Sexuality" which tells them to, "Just Say Yes"
to sexual intercourse.

"Is there any certain evidence that a new temple is going to be built?"
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in
three days I will raise it up.
John 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in
building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
John 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without
the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in
your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for
ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his
footstool.
Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are
sanctified.
Hebrews 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that
he had said before,
Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those
days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their
minds will I write them;
Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for
sin.
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest
by the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us,
through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Hebrews 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed
with pure water.
New Testament (covenant):
Temple = body of Christ = Church = House of God
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of
God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey
not the gospel of God?
[Bethel = "house of God" (near Ram Allah, Arafat's headquarters)]
Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the
sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they
shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (cf. Ezra chapter 9, esp.
'astonied')
Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt
by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do
[exploits].
Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken
away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a
thousand two hundred and ninety days.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall
not come], except there come a *falling away first*, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is
called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple
of God, shewing himself that he is God.
falling away = bill of divorce
fornication:
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one,
and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while
some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves
through with many sorrows.
***
Even if a temple building goes up, Christ is still THE one-time perpetual
[daily] sacrifice:
Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God
continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the
world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the
light of life.
John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with
you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that
walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the
children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide
himself from them.
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part
is happened to Israel, *until the fulness of the Gentiles* be come in.
Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall
come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their
sins.
Religious *fiction* is awfully popular with the Church these days...
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall
be turned unto fables.

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- MK Rechavam Ze´evi of the Nation Union/Yisrael Beteinu
faction, a former major-general in the IDF, has reported that PLO
Authority (PA) paramilitary forces are engaged in exercises to overrun
Jewish communities in Yesha, using mock settlements established by the PA.
Following warning by the intelligence community of the likelihood of
renewed Islamic violence as was seen during the month of May, Ze´evi
explains that the PA forces are exercising overrunning Yesha communities
and a situation may arise in which thousands of hostile forces attempt to
take over Jewish communities throughout Yesha. Ze´evi points out the PA is
using Hizbullah activities in southern Lebanon as a model of how to drive
out Israel from areas it wishes to liberate.

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- About two hundred Jewish protesters on Wednesday
evening blocked Arab vehicular traffic from traveling from Khan Yunis
towards the sea, following a day of increased stone-throwing attacks
against Jewish motorists. Protesters stated they will no longer permit the
Arab population to use them as targets and permit attacks to pass without
retaliating. On Wednesday, Jewish children who traveled to the beach were
also attacked with stones and harassed by Arabs who were awaiting
their arrival.
New IBM supercomputer to simulate nuclear weapons tests
Weekend News Today
By Kelly Pagatpatan
Source: Reuters
Thu Jun 29,2000 -- International Business Machines Corp on Thursday
unveiled the fastest computer in the world, which the U.S. government will
use to simulate nuclear weapons tests. The supercomputer, able to process
more in a second than one person with a calculator could do in 10 million
years, was made for the Department of Energy's Accelerated Strategic
Computing Initiative (ASCI). Called ASCI White, the supercomputer will
churn the factors involved in a nuclear detonation, including the weapon's
age and design. This could eventually allow the government to manage its
entire stockpile of nuclear weapons without any real nuclear tests and
ease congressional opposition to the U.S. signing the Comprehensive Test
Ban Treaty.
Syria launches military cooperation talks with EU

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- Syria has begun talks on the prospect of military
cooperation with the European Union. Arab diplomatic sources said the
negotiations remain exploratory and will begin on a bilateral level with
EU states. The sources said the talks are meant to encourage Damascus to
renew peace negotiations with Israel. On Monday, Syrian Defense Minister
Mustafa Tlas met a delegation from the Netherlands air force. Tlas is also
deputy commander of the Syrian armed forces and regarded as a leading aide
of Syrian President-designate Bashar Assad. Later, Arab diplomatic sources
said, Tlass and the Dutch military group discussed regional security, the
Middle East peace process and the prospect of military cooperation. The
United States has sent a military delegation to Damascus but is limited in
the extent of military cooperation with Syria. The State Department lists
Syria as a terrorist sponsor.
Iran , Russia hold military talks
Weekend News Today

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- Iran have launched what officials termed as high-level
defense cooperation talks meant to launch new military projects in
Teheran. The talks were held during the current visit by a Russian
delegation headed by Col. Gen. Leonid Ivashov, chief of the Defense
Ministry's international military cooperation agency. Russia is regarded
as Iran's leading defense contractor. Moscow is said to be involved in
virtually every military aerospace and missile program. Russian companies
are also constructing the Bushehr nuclear reactor. Western intelligence
sources said the civilian project is a cover for a nuclear weapons program
denied by both Iran and Russia.
PM Barak defends his position
Weekend News Today
By Andra Brack
Source: IsraelWire
Thu Jun 29,2000 -- Speaking on Israel Radio, Prime Minister Ehud Barak
defended his position in the ongoing Oslo process, against increasing
opposition from coalition parties accusing him of being too willing to
make major concessions to the PA. The prime minister/defense minister
reiterated his position, that Israel will never return to the pre-June 4,
1967 borders, as is being demanded by the PA and the United Nations, in
compliance with Security Council resolution 338 and 242. Such a move would
require Israel to relinquish land liberated in the Six Day War, including
western Jerusalem and control over the Western Wall and Temple Mount,
which has already been placed in the hands of the Wakf Islamic Trust.
Coalition partners are threatening Barak that if he does not make his
exact position clear regarding planned land withdrawals and other
concessions to the PA, they will quit the government if and when the prime
minister leaves for a trilateral Washington summit. Barak added that while
the PA wants it all, he is concerned with the future of the State of
Israel and will not make compromises that would jeopardize Israel´s
future.
Jewish homes being built in the Golan

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- A new wave of construction has begun in the Golan
Heights capital of Katzrin. Some 350 new homes are slated to be built in
the area in the months ahead; to this end, regional leaders are launching
a new public relations campaign stressing the significance of living in
the Golan. Katzrin Mayor Sammy Bar Lev said he is pleased with the current
lull in the Israel-Syria diplomatic track, and that he is not overly
concerned with the "trial balloons" released this week by figures such as
Justice Minister Yossi Beilin. Bar Lev observed that the new regime of
Bashar Assad will have its problems consolidating its hold on Syria in the
months ahead, "and I don't see how he is going to be able to engage in
serious talks with Israel."
China balks at US intervention

Thu Jun 29,2000 -- China has broken its silence on the issue of the US
reaction to the Israeli military jets sale to China. An official
announcement, released today by the Foreign Ministry in Bejing, strongly
condemns the US administration for opposing the deal. In the eyes of
China, "this is a matter between Israel and China, and the United States
must not interfere." Globes today cited a statement by Prime Minister
Barak to the effect that Israel considers the agreement signed with China
a firm diplomatic agreement. Israel Defense Ministry officials see this
assertion as a sign that the $250 million deal will not be rescinded,
despite US pressure to do so. A delegation of Chinese military officials
are presently in Israel for a brief visit. A total media blackout has been
placed on the meetings.

Time running out for Israeli violations, Hizbollah warns
Weekend News Today
By Andra Brack
Source: Jordan Times
Thu Jun 29,2000 -- The head of Lebanon's Hizbollah resistance fighters
warned on Wednesday that time is running out for using diplomacy to end
Israeli border violations. As Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah charged in Beirut
that Israel was guilty of almost daily violations, witnesses in south
Lebanon said Israeli soldiers had crossed the border to seize a camera
from a Lebanese journalist. Witnesses said Israeli pilotless spy drones
were flying over Lebanese territory at the time in violation of Lebanese
airspace.
Nasrallah said he was awaiting the outcome of international efforts to
secure a full Israeli pullout from the south and the release of prisoners
held in Israel. I have discussed with Premier Hoss the issue of Lebanese
prisoners and the repeated Israeli violations which take place almost
every day, he said. Also we discussed the latest results of contacts in
this regard and we are still awaiting serious moves. I believe the time is
running out, and as I said before the resistance will not wait long. If
we find that the matters are not being handled seriously and the whole
thing is just to let the time pass, then we have no other option to take
up our responsibilities, he said. We cannot wait to see our sovereignty
being violated, our visitors being attacked like happened to the Jordanian
delegation... we are serious about it.

Tiny Robots Could Prove Medical Boon
Updated 2:55 PM ET June 29, 2000
By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) - Robots the size of the punctuation in this sentence
could one day be used to move single cells or capture bacteria, their
Swedish inventors say.
The tiny robots are shorter than a hyphen and no wider than the period at
the end of this sentence, according to Edwin W. H. Jager of Sweden's
Linkoping University.
The robots might be used as microsurgical instruments, explained Jager,
"Maybe not (in the same) shape and form of these robots, but tools using
the same micromuscle technology."
Or, he added, these microrobots might be used to build other microdevices,
just as cars are built by robots. In medicine, the robots could move a
single cell from one point to another, he said.
In experiments his team has used the robots to pick up and move tiny glass
beads invisible to the unaided eye.
Their work is reported in Friday's issue of the journal Science.
The microrobots are made of layers of polymer and gold and somewhat
resemble a human arm. Currently the remain in one spot, but Jager said he
could foresee a time when they are made mobile.
The robots have flexible elbow and wrist joints and the research team made
them in various forms with hands made up of two to four fingers.
Importantly, Jager noted, these devices can work while submerged in such
liquids as blood, urine and cell-culture medium, suggesting possible uses
in biotechnology. Stuck on the end of a catheter, the microrobots might
increase the range of surgeons.
Jager's co-authors, Olle Inganas and Ingemar Lundstrom, said in a statement
that one day the robots might be usable to pick up tiny biological items
and move them to an analysis station, and in groups to assemble
microstructures.
To make the microrobots move, the team used conducting polymers in the
joints. These polymers will absorb charged particles called ions from the
surrounding liquid, or shed them, depending on the electrical charge
applied through tiny wires connected to the robot. Absorbing or shedding
ions causes the polymers to swell or shrink, while the gold layer remains
the same thickness.
By properly arranging the polymers and gold layers the swelling or
shrinking of the robot joints causes them to bend when various charges are
applied, similar to changes in heat causing the movement of a thermostat.
Bending of the polymer-gold layers causes the robot arm to flex at its
elbow, bend the wrist and close and open the fingers to grasp it.
Previous microrobots have included such things as electronic devices
featuring rods and levers, artificial flying insects and a walking silicon
microrobot, but none could operate in water, Jager pointed out.
His microrobots are 670 millionths of a meter tall and 170 to 240
millionths of a meter wide. A meter is slightly longer than a yard.

*** Orthodox flock to relic in Ukraine
KIEV, Ukraine (AP) - Tens of thousands of Orthodox Christians stood
in line in Kiev for hours on Thursday to worship the head of St.
Panteleimon, which was brought to Ukraine from a monastery on
Greece's Mt. Athos. Monastery officials said up to 80,000 people,
including President Leonid Kuchma, have already visited the site
since the relic arrived last week. To cope with the crowds, the
monastery cave where the saint's head is on display was kept open
around the clock this week. St. Panteleimon, a martyr revered as a
healer by Orthodox Christians, lived in the 3rd and 4th centuries.
Trained as a physician, church tradition said he used both his
knowledge and prayer to cure the sick until being tortured and killed
in 305. On Thursday, some in the crowd said they had been waiting 14
hours to kiss the casket. See

the words "the ultimate sacrifice" - must be removed from the
churchyard before Sept. 1, according to the Ekstra Bladet daily.
Nielsen was one of two people killed in October 1996 when an
anti-tank grenade was fired into the Hell's Angels headquarters
compound in Copenhagen at the height of a three-year feud between the
gang and the rival Bandidos. His mother, Sonja, placed a neutral
tombstone at his grave, but the Hell's Angels replaced it with one
they had customized. They put it in the cemetery without the consent
of the parish. See

*** Heavy rains flood Moscow's streets
MOSCOW (AP) - Torrential rains drenched Moscow for a third day
Thursday, turning city streets into violent streams, with cars
stalling and drivers wading around in thigh-high water. Twice the
average rainfall for June deluged Moscow on Wednesday and Thursday
alone, said Alexander Frolov, the head of Russia's meteorological
service. Rescuers used a boat to evacuate passengers from a bus that
was stuck in a central Moscow square, the daily Vremya Novostei
reported Thursday. ###

ness of the Temple and the Temple Mount Never
Departed from the Hill of G=96d Even After the Destruction
<bigger>
<smaller><smaller>The holiness of the temple and the Temple Mount n=
ever departed
from the hill of G=96d even after the destruction of the temple. This
is an eternal holiness which started from the first moment of the
Creation and will remain forever.
A wonderful Jewish tradition holds that when G=96d created the
Universe, He first created Mt. Moriah, the Temple Mount, and
chose it to be the place of His house and blessed it with a special
holiness. When He commanded Israel to build His house, the
temple, He appointed this place and the rock of Abraham in the
midst of it and commanded Israel to never move it from this place
or build it elsewhere.
Throughout history many powers and nations were attracted to
this place and built their pagan shrines on the site of the temple or
sometimes placed their statues inside the temple including the
Arabs and the Moslems who built, and continue to build, their
mosques on the Temple Mount. The holiness which the G=96d of
Israel reflected on this place attracted all of them like a magnet.
However, all of them did not understand that the holiness of the
G=96d of Israel on this place can accept only the Jewish temple
which G=96d called "My house" and promised that, despite this
repeated desecration of His holy hill by these powers, the Jewish
temple will be rebuilt by Israel alone and only this temple will be
"a house of prayer for all nations" and none other which any of
the nations tries to build on this holy hill of G=96d. This is the reason=
that all the foreign shrines which were built on the Temple Mount
throughout history have been destroyed and the nations who built
them were severely judged by G=96d and passed from world
history. No doubt G=96d will do the same to the Arabs who
occupied the hill of G=96d by force, destroyed all the remains of the
Second Temple, including the Western Wall of the Holy of Holies,
and built their mosques and shrines on the place of the holy temple
of G=96d. G=96d will never forgive them for their persecution of His
holy hill, Jerusalem, His land and His people, Israel. As it was
with the other powers throughout history, they will be removed
from this place by the judgement of G=96d and the Third Temple
will be built by Israel and once again and forever the holiness of
G=96d, His holy mountain and the holiness of Israel will be united.
This godly union will then open the Temple Mount and the temple
to be "a house of prayer for all nations".
There is a unique historical event which happened on the Temple
Mount after the destruction. This event is connected to Rabbi ben
Zoma who was a student of Rabbi Akiva and lived in the time
immediately after the destruciton of the Second Temple.(Rabbi
Akiva saw the temple in his youth.) Rabbi ben Zoma was sitting
on the Temple Mount watching the secrets of creation. He was
so engrossed in this mystical pursuit that he did not even notice
Rabbi Yehoshua ben Hannania who was standing close by. When
Rabbi Yehoshua saw him, he asked what he was doing. Rabbi
ben Zoma answered that he was observing the distance between
the upper and lower waters and that there was only a distance of
three fingers between them as it is written in Genesis: "And the
spirit of G=96d hovered over the waters." (Genesis 1:2) like a
dove which hovers over her chicks without touching them. This
event of Creation happened on the first day of Creation and on
the second day, G=96d separated the waters which were below the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. The
Talmud asks what the distance was between the separation.
Rabbi Aha bar Yaakov answered that it was the width of a hair
and other rabbis stated that it was like the spaces between planks
of wood that are placed on a bridge.
Rabbi ben Zoma chose the Temple Mount to be the place of his
mystical observation of the secrets of Creation rather than any
other place. This was no accident. The extreme holiness of this
hill of G=96d, and the continual presence of G=96d and the reflection
of His spirit on this hill was so intense that only on the Temple
Mount could he enter into the deepest secrets of G=96d's creation
and make this mystical observation in the best way. He could not
see anyone around him because the great holiness of the place
took him on its wings to higher worlds and so close to G=96d. He
chose this holy place because he knew what the great rabbis of
the time of the destruction had said that the holiness of the
Temple Mount would never depart even after the destruction of
the temple. It was not the only time that Rabbi ben Zoma, who
was considered to be a great and perfect scholar and rabbi by the
other rabbis of the time.
G=96d is watching us from His destroyed temple and hill which is
now again a prisoner in the hands of the pagan Arab foreigners
and calls on us to rebuild His house. He wants to dwell once again
in His rebuilt house amongst His people and all His creation and
He can no longer wait for this. To all who say that the time for
this has not yet arrived, He answers what He said through His
prophet, Haggai: "Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying, This
people say that the time has not yet come, the time that the
Lord's house should be built. Then came the word of the Lord
by Haggai the prophet, saying, ... Thus says the Lord of
hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring
wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and
I will be glorified, says the Lord. You looked for much, and,
behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew
it away. Why? says the Lord of hosts. Because of my house
that lies in ruins, and everyone of you runs to his own house.
Therefore the heaven above you have withheld the dew, and
the earth has withheld its produce. And I called for a drought
upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain,
and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that
which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon
cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands." (Haggai 1:2,3,7-
11)
G=96d will never accept the current shameful situation on the
Temple Mount. As long as this situation persists and the temple is
not rebuilt, there will never be peace in Israel and all over the
world. Troubles, wars and suffering will continue to be in Israel
and all over the world. G=96d wants to dwell among His people and
creation and to reflect His love and blessings on them. He is
ready but we are not ready. Only the rebuilding of the temple will
open a new era of peace among nations and establish the
Kingdom of G=96d and His wonderful principles all over Israel and
the world.

<center></color><FontFamily><param>Times New Roman</param><bigger>A Cosmic=
Reflection on the Temple Mount and Jerusalem
<bigger>
<smaller><smaller>Scientist have stated on more than one occasion t=
hat there is a
special cosmic reflection coming from Heaven which falls on the
Temple Mount and Jerusalem. This is the only place in the world
where this cosmic reflection occurs.
Those who live in Jerusalem can feel this cosmic reflection and
are not surprised. This is the spirit of the G=96d of Israel, the
Creator of the Universe, who chose the Temple Mount, Mt.
Moriah, to be the site of His house and The house of Israel and
Jerusalem to be His capital and that of Israel. In the Tanach the
Temple Mount is called the gate to Heaven. As long as the temple
existed, G=96d reflected His spirit and love on His people, Israel,
and from Jerusalem it was spread all over the land of Israel. Since
the temple was destroyed, this gate was closed and the spirit was
no longer reflected and a time of darkness came to Israel and all
the world. Since the foundation of the State of Israel, the event
which opened the prophetic end-time redemption of Israel, and
even more since the Six Day War, this gate has been reopened,
although not yet completely, and G=96d again started to reflect the
spirit and blessings of Israel. The rebuilding of the temple will
open this gate completely and then the spirit of G=96d and His
blessings will be reflected in all their glory and will spread and
cover, not only all over the land of Israel, but all over the world.
This is one of the deep significance of the rebuilding of the temple
and its importance has such a deep meaning for all of us.
All of this explains the fact that G=96d chose the land of Israel to be
His land where He would dwell and the land which He gave to
His people, Israel, to also dwell there. The reflection and presence
of G=96d and His spirit on this land which comes from the Temple
Mount and Jerusalem and covers all the land explains what G=96d
promised to Israel when he gave them the land with great love to
the seed of Abraham. "A land which the Lord your God cares
for; the eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it, from
the beginning of the year to the end of the year."
(Deuteronomy 11:12)
Three things can never be divided - the G=96d of Israel, the people
of Israel, and the land of Israel. The blessings of G=96d which are
reflected on the land of Israel, and from Israel all over the world,
are deeply dependant on the existence and dwelling of Israel in
the land of Israel. The reflection of the blessings of G=96d on the
land of Israel to be a land of milk and honey can only be fulfilled
when Israel lives in the land. This is the reason that the land
became a wilderness over the past 1900 years while Israel was in
exile. The return of Israel explains the re-awakening of the land
which again became a land of milk and honey and a blossoming
garden and increasingly so every day, and as we said above, the
rebuilding of the temple as G=96d promised will bring about a
tremendous reflection even more than now and will cover not only
Israel but all the world.
This reflection also explains the beauty of the land of Israel which
is the most beautiful land in the world. G=96d is beauty and He
reflects His beauty on the land. The presence of G=96d in the land
is what makes the land so unique. This is what makes a strong
impact on people who come from abroad even from places in the
world which are very beautiful and are also the beautiful creation
of G=96d and they can feel here this unique feeling and beauty of
the land. Every evening in Jerusalem when the son sets, the sky
has a beautiful red colour which surrounds the city from all sides.
This is unique to this beautiful city of G=96d and another appearance
of this reflection. Every morning when I open the windows of my
home I can feel the strong presence of G=96d in the new fresh day
which enters my home and every other home in Jerusalem and
the land and fills them all over and creates a wonderful godly spirit
and atmosphere.
All of this has a special meaning in these special end-times in
which we are now living. G=96d is reflecting His spirit and
blessings. He is even much more intensively busy in the
redemption of Israel and to once again make Israel the most
beautiful country in the world. He is busy accomplishing His end-
time plans with Israel to rebuild His house and to prepare for the
coming of Mashiach ben David. He is busy protecting Israel at
this critical time from all her enemies and preparing all the nations
to accept Him and His people, Israel. The approaching time will
be a very critical time but the most exciting time in the history of
Israel and even in the life of all the nations. Everyone is called on
to be with the G=96d and people of Israel at this special time and to
come and visit and see for themselves what G=96d is doing in and
with Israel at this major godly time.
