Pesach 5760 (2000) on the Temple Mount
Pilgrimage and reconfirmation of the covenant between G–d and Israel

At a major time of redemption of the people and land of Israel and in a
very critical era, The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement
will make a pilgrimage to the holy Temple Mount and the biblical old City
of Jerusalem. According to the Word of the G–d in the Torah, we shall
carry with us the Omer (the first of the wheat harvest from the fields of
the land of Israel) as an offering to G–d exactly as was done during the
First and Second Temple eras. On the Temple Mount in the middle of
Jerusalem we shall we shall reconfirm the eternal covenant which G–d made
with Abraham and his seed, Israel, in the city which King David dedicated
3000 years ago to be the eternal capital of Israel.

This major event will be held during the festival of Pesach on Yom Rishon,
18 Nissan 5760 (Sunday 23rd April, 2000) from 09:30AM. We will meet in
front of the western gate of the Temple Mount at the southern end of the
Western Wall Plaza.

In Deuteronomy 17 the G–d of Israel commanded the people of Israel to
observe the festival of Pesach and to make the pilgrimage to the Temple
Mount, Mt.Moriah, which He chose to be His holy hill and house. "Observe
the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the Lord your God; for in the
month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night. You
shall therefore sacrifice the Passover to the Lord your God, of the flock
and the herd, in the place which the Lord shall choose to place his name
there. You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat
unleavened bread with it, the bread of affliction; for you came out of the
land of Egypt in haste; that you may remember the day when you came out of
the land of Egypt all the days of your life. And there shall be no
leavened bread seen with you in all your border seven days; neither shall
there any thing of the meat, which you sacrificed the first day at the
evening, remain all night until the morning. You may not sacrifice the
Passover inside any of your gates, which the Lord your God gives you; But
at the place which the Lord your God shall choose to place his name in,
there you shall sacrifice the Passover at the evening, at the going down
of the sun, in the season when you came out of Egypt. And you shall roast
and eat it in the place which the Lord your God shall choose; and you
shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents. Six days you shall eat
unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the
Lord your God; you shall do no work in it." (Deuteronomy16:1-8)

In Leviticus 23 the G–d of Israel commanded Israel to bring the first
sheaf of the wheat harvest (omer) to the temple where the priest had to
wave the sheaf before G–d as an offering. "These are the feasts of the
Lord, holy gatherings, which you shall proclaim in their seasons. In the
fourteenth day of the first month at evening is the Lord's Passover. And
on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to
the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. In the first day you
shall have a holy gathering; you shall do no labour in it. But you shall
offer an offering made by fire to the Lord seven days; in the seventh day
is a holy gathering; you shall do no labour in it. And the Lord spoke to
Moses, saying, Speak to the people of Israel, and say to them, When you
come to the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you
shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest; And
he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you; on the
next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. And you shall offer
that day when you wave the sheaf a male lamb without blemish of the first
year for a burnt offering to the Lord. And the meal offering of it shall
be two tenth deals of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire
to the Lord for a sweet savour; and the drink offering of it shall be of
wine, the fourth part of a hin. And you shall eat nor bread, nor parched
grain, nor green ears, until the same day that you have brought an
offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your
generations in all your dwellings." (Leviticus23;4-14)

The Temple Mount Faithful Movement decided to renew these exciting
traditions from the Word of G–d and to bring the omer to the Temple Mount
even though the temple is still not rebuilt and in this way to say to G–d
that we are ready to fulfil all His commandments with regard to the Third
Temple.

In the early morning of Tuesday 18th April we shall go to the fields of
the land and shall cut the omer and prepare it for the event on Sunday to
carry it with us in the pilgrimage to the Temple Mount. It will be an
exciting event and we shall do the same as our forefathers did for the G–d
of Israel and the temple, His house, thousands of years ago and after
almost 2000 years that this event could not be fulfilled because the
people of Israel were taken into exile and the land was in terrible
destruction. This event and our renewed pilgrimage to the hill of G–d in
Jerusalem is an exciting part of the major godly time in which we are now
living, the time of the redemption of the people and land of Israel when
Jerusalem has again become the capital and holy focus of Israel and the
Temple Mount is again under the sovereignty and control of the State of
Israel and our eyes are lifted and we do our best that the holy Temple
Mount of G–d will be redeemed and purified from a long Islamic occupation.
The Third Temple will be built to again be the eternal house of G–d, the
place of worship for Israel and a house of prayer for all the nations; the
heart and soul of Israel that for 2000 years has expressed our deepest
desires and prayers to be redeemed by G–d.

During the pilgrimage to the Temple Mount, The Temple Mount and Land of
Israel Faithful Movement and many Israelis who we expect to participate,
will renew and reconfirm the eternal covenant which the G–d of Israel made
with Abraham and his seed, the people of Israel. It will be the climax of
the pilgrimage when everyone will sign this covenant which will show our
complete faithfulness to the G–d of Israel, to the land that He gave us in
this covenant to the boundaries which He assigned, to Jerusalem which He
gave to His people, Israel, and commanded them through King David to make
it their eternal capital and the site of His house and to be the focus of
a pilgrimage three times per year at least, and to the Temple Mount, Mt
Moriah, which He commanded Israel to dedicate to Him to build His house
there and to be the eternal focus of Israel. In the same place where G–d
sent Abraham and his son, Isaac, Mt Moriah, on the base and foundation of
the Word of G–d Who spoke to Abraham at that great historical moment, like
Abraham, we shall show and express our complete faithfulness to Him. The
blessings of G–d to Abraham on this hill will become a foundation for our
generation and all the coming generations. "And it came to pass after
these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham; and he
said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now your son, your only son
Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there
for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you. And
Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of
his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and broke the wood for the
burnt offering, and rose up, and went to the place of which God had told
him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place
far away. And Abraham said to his young men, Stay here with the ass; and I
and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come back to you. And Abraham
took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and
he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them
together. And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father; and
he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood; but
where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will
provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering; so they went both of them
together. And they came to the place which God had told him; and Abraham
built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son,
and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his
hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the Lord called
to him from heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.
And he said, Lay not your hand upon the lad, nor do anything to him; for
now I know that you fear God, seeing that you did not withheld your son,
your only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and
behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns; and Abraham went
and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in place of his
son. And Abraham called the name of that place Adonai-Yireh; as it is said
to this day, In the Mount of the Lord it shall be seen. And the angel of
the Lord called to Abraham from heaven the second time, And said, By
myself have I sworn, said the Lord, for because you have done this thing,
and have not withhold your son, your only son; That in blessing I will
bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of
the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your seed
shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in your seed shall all the
nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice."
(Genesis22:1-18)

This covenant which G–d made with Abraham on Mt.Moriah was the continuance
of the covenant which G–d made with Abraham and his seed, Israel, and we
see its fulfilment at this major end-time of the redemption of Israel. G–d
appeared to Abraham again and again in the land of Israel, promised him
the land and made the eternal covenant with him. "After these things the
word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am
your shield, and your reward will be great. ... And he brought him
outside, and said, Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if you are
able to count them; and he said to him, So shall your seed be. And he
believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he
said to him, I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to
give you this land to inherit it. ... And when the sun was going down, a
deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, a fear of great darkness fell upon
him. ... In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To
your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great
river, the river Euphrates; The Kenites, and the Kenazites, and the
Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Raphaim, And the
Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."
(Genesis 15:1,5-7,12,18-21) "And when Abram was ninety nine years old, the
Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am the Almighty God; walk
before me, and be perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and you,
and will multiply you exceedingly. ... And I will establish my covenant
between me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an
everlasting covenant, to be a God to you, and to your seed after you. And
I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land where you are a
stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I
will be their God. And God said to Abraham, You shall keep my covenant
therefore, you, and your seed after you in their generations. This is my
covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after
you; Every male child among you shall be circumcised."
(Genesis17:1-2,7-10)

On this eternal covenant, the G–d of Israel will put His signature and His
complete commitment and faithfulness forever. This exciting event will be
held in the same place whee G–d appeared to Abraham and made this godly
covenant with him. We shall prepare ourselves spiritually and purify
ourselves for this great moment and G–d will be with us and Israel as He
was with our great forefather, Abraham.

The next part of this exciting pilgrimage will be when we march in the
biblical Old City around all the gates of the Temple Mount. Before every
gate we will pray the holiday prayers and sing the Hallel Psalms which
were prayed in the temple and are a major part of the festival prayers of
Israel. Along all the route of the march and especially before al the
gates, we shall blow shofars for the honour of the G–d of Israel and His
holy hill with the great prayer to save the Temple Mount from the foreign
Arab enemies of Israel, to redeem and purify it from their pagan worship
on the holy hill which G–d commanded us to keep completely pure. A special
exciting moment will be in front of the Eastern Gate, the Mercy Gate, of
the Temple Mount on the stones of which one of the soldiers who liberated
the Temple Mount in 1967 wrote in large letters: "Mashiach will surely
come!" This is the holy gate of the Temple Mount through which, according
to the prophet Ezekiel, Mashiach ben David will enter the temple. Here we
shall blow all the shofars, we shall swear faithfulness to Jerusalem
exactly as our forefathers did: "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my
right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember you, let my tongue
cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest
joy." (Psalm137:5-6) Then we shall sing one of the thirteen Principles of
Faith: "I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah and
though he tarry, yet shall I daily wait for him." This will be one of the
most exciting moments of the event and we cannot wait for it.

After this gate we shall march around the eastern and southern walls of
the Temple Mount back to the western gate where we shall sing HaTikvah
(The Hope), the national anthem of Israel.

We are very much looking forward to this major event of Pesach and are
currently preparing for it. The authorities have given us permission and
blessing for it and everyone who is in Israel at the time is invited to

A small town, a rapist at large ... 600 men called for DNA
tests

Police will ask the entire male adult population of the
north-western town of Wee Waa to undergo a voluntary DNA
saliva test this weekend.

The innocence of the 600 male adults in the town,
population 1,900, will be put to the test in what police
hope will solve the bashing and rape of a 93-year-old woman
16 months ago.

The move - unprecedented in Australian criminal
investigation - comes in the absence of legal powers that
can compel those questioned by police about a crime to
submit to a DNA blood test.

It also coincides with growing debate within State Cabinet
about the moral and civil liberties implications of a move
by the Government to introduce legislation that would
enable police to next year begin setting up Australia's
first major DNA database to track criminals.

Under the proposal, mooted by the Police Commissioner, Mr
Peter Ryan, with the backing of the Minister for Police, Mr
Whelan, samples from such a database would be compared to
15,000 stored DNA samples collected from unsolved crime
scenes.

However, under legislation proposed by the Premier, Mr
Carr, police would only be able to take saliva samples from
NSW prisoners convicted for crimes that carry a minimum
sentence of five years' imprisonment.

But in Sydney yesterday, the National Party MP for Barwon,
Mr Ian Slack-Smith, whose electorate includes Wee Waa, said
he would urge Coalition MPs to not only endorse the
Government's DNA testing of jail inmates but to seek the
widening of the legislation to include people convicted for
petty offences.

In Sydney yesterday, Mr Slack-Smith said: "There's not one
man in Wee Waa who I've spoken to that is not willing to
.. submit to a DNA test, and they come from all walks,
from shopkeepers to the entire Wee Waa Panthers football
team.".

Mr Slack-Smith, who said he would be first in line to
allow police to take a sample, said civil libertarians
needed only to speak to the victim of the New Year's Day
1999 attack to see the justification for the exercise.

"If they don't speak to her, then they should go and talk
to any other victim of an unsolved rape and see what they
think about police using DNA to catch their attacker," he
said.

Mr Slack-Smith said the assault, which took place in a
home, was "absolutely horrendous".

"Our elderly people have not gotten over it. Many are
still spending each night sleeping at neighbours' homes
because they are frightened it could happen again," he said.

Up to 30 extra police, including seven detectives from the
Sydney-based Homicide and Violent Serial Offenders Agency,
have been drawn in for the tests, in which police will
canvass every home in the town.

Adult male householders will be asked if they were in Wee
Waa on New Year's Eve 1998 and the new year morning and
also asked if they are willing to submit to the saliva swab
test.

Mr Slack-Smith said the voluntary tests would not only
clear participants, but could help police to establish once
and for all if the rapist was a transient seasonal worker
familiar with the cotton town.

 50 Tons of Dead Fish Wash Up on Rio Beaches

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Fifty tons of dead fish washed onto the
picturesque beaches of Rio de Janeiro this week, the latest in a series of
environmental mishaps that are spoiling the city's natural beauty, officials
said on Wednesday.

Thousands of smelly sardines coated beaches in the northern part of the
city, which hosted the environmental Earth Summit in 1992. The fish floated
belly-up in the waters near the international airport.

While officials investigated possible causes for the kill, ranging from pollution
to illegal fishing practices and heavy rains that reduced the water's salinity,
residents agreed on the result.

``Rio's reputation is being ruined and it's not that great to live in the middle of
it either,'' said Ruy Marco, a hotel clerk.

The Earth Summit's host city has been home to ecological disaster so far in
2000. In January Brazilian oil giant Petrobras accidentally dumped 338,000
gallons of fuel oil in Rio's landmark Guanabara Bay, a spill that will take at
least 10 years to recover from, according to specialists.

Raw sewage pumped daily into the ocean off of Copacabana and Ipanema
beaches has already forced officials to ban bathing in most of the world-
famous waters, leading cartoonists to compare the bay to a toilet.

During the Carnival parties in March, sewage and a sudden drop in oxygen
levels killed 100 tons of fish in a picturesque lagoon nestled behind Ipanema
beach. Tourists and residents were forced to cover their noses with
bandannas for days while officials cleaned the area.

``We're still investigating the cause of this latest round of dead fish,'' Laura
Franca, a spokeswoman for the local fishing federation, told Reuters on
Wednesday. ``Pollution is just one hypothesis, but anyway it's a shame."

 Diplomatic Flap in Chicago Over Islamic Scarf

CHICAGO (Reuters) - An Islamic Frenchwoman set off a minor diplomatic
flap after she was denied a new passport because consular officials decided
her head scarf obscured her identity in an accompanying photograph.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations sent a letter calling on the
French consul general to grant the woman, Chicago resident Dalila
Benameur, a religious exemption from a requirement that the hair be visible
in a passport photo.

``My understanding is that she sent a file with photographs with the scarf
covering down to her eyes and surrounding her head,'' Consul General Jean-
Rene Gehan said.

``I will be glad to see her and try to get her point of view. She has to
understand that we have to be able to have a photograph that shows her. If
we both have good faith, I'm sure we can reach a compromise,'' he said.

The Islamic group said the head scarf is a sensitive issue in France, where it
said many Muslim students are expelled from schools for wearing Islamic
attire.

God, I have to assume it will be an antichrist if not The Antichrist. Lord

candidate for this deception, as he has already been appearing and
disappearing to groups around the world. Maitreya has long promised to
make an appearance on worldwide TV

who wish to be deceived telepathically.

Benny Hinn's followers, as well as practically everyone else connected with
the Third Wave, have been softened up to the paranormal realm long enough

Is this likely to happen? As with all false prophesies, it is hard to tell what
shape this will take if any. I think the chances are pretty good that nothing

shows up, this may signal the beginning of end time events. In either case,
keep your ears to the ground on this one.

Jane Fonda called abortion foes hypocrites during a pro-choice
event this week. The former actress and political activist, who
reportedly became a Christian recently (see link #1 below), was
the keynote speaker April 4 during the annual Utahns for Choice
dinner in Salt Lake City, The Salt Lake Tribune said.
..."Have you ever asked yourself why [anti-abortion advocates]
have so much concern for the egg while it's growing inside a
woman, but so little concern for the child once it's born?" Fonda
asked the audience. For them, "it seems life begins at conception and
ends at birth," she said. ...Fonda congratulated Utah Gov. Mike
Leavitt for vetoing a bill that would have allowed only abstinence as
a method of birth control to be taught in classrooms. ...Opposition to
abortion rights and dissemination of birth-control information is "the
same mind-set that opposes the notion of women working. It's a view
that doesn't reflect reality," she said.

Unusual Storm Hits South Albania

TIRANA - Strong winds and heavy rain fall on
Tuesday night damaged houses, agricultural objects and livestock, in
southern Albania, news reports said. Strong winds - in an unusual
storm,
the worst since 1968 - swept by 160 km per hour over the southern
area,
comprising districts of Berat, Vlora, Mallakastra and Gjirokastra. The
strong wind swept badly damaged houses, roofs, and uprooted trees,
seriously damaged greenhouses and high voltage lines, thus causing
blackouts and the interruption of telephone lines with other parts of
the
country. Vlora city experienced a mini-hurricane and a mixture of
dust and
plastic materials swept the whole city, witnesses said. The sea was
un-sailable due to the huge waves, and the merchant boats or ferries
have
reduced their sailing too. The strong winds swept the southernmost
districts of Gjirokastra on Wednesday morning and severely damaged the
power distribution grid, and consequently the electricity was cut off,
news agency ATA reported. Villagers said that the strong wind "sent
off
the snow from the peak of the mountain Cika over the village Kuta,"
in the
Mallakastra district. Greenhouses covering over 200 hectares have been
ravaged too, in the Berat district, especially in the villages
Kutalli,
Lapardha, sources continue. Exact information on the speed of the
wind and
rain fall is difficult to obtain, as for ten years now this region has
been lacking a meteorological station, but inhabitants said they had
not
experienced such a storm in 20 years. "The storm lasted only 20-30
minutes
and it resembled a hurricane, while in the first morning hours there
had
been neither rain nor wind," news agency ATA said.

A violent sandstorm struck Beijing yesterday morning, darkening
the skies and raising questions over claims that reforestation had
been
successful. The storm was the worst in 10 years, with winds reaching
70km/h and visibility plummeting to 500 metres along Beijing's busy
Third
Ring Road. The capital's traffic ground to a halt in many areas,
Beijing
officials said. The sandstorm caused havoc at Beijing's airport,
causing
the delay of at least 40 flights and forcing another 40 incoming
planes to
divert to Tianjin, about 150km to the south, Xinhua said. Beijing is
often
enveloped in sandstorms at this time of year as winds descend on the
region from the Gobi Desert and other desert regions further north in
Inner Mongolia, but this year's storms were especially harsh,
officials
said. "The strong gales from the Mongolian Plateau would continue to
sweep
areas along the Yellow River and the Huaihe River, including Shandong
province, and is expected to slow down in the evening," said Yang
Guimin,
a senior engineer with China's Central Meteorological Observatory.
Extensive deforestation and desertification in northern China have
fuelled
the sandstorms, with "yellow skies" reaching the Korean Peninsula.
Nearly
one million tonnes of Gobi Desert sand blows into Beijing each year,
Xinhua reported. In the past month Beijing has been hit by five
sandstorms. Despite the Government's large-scale afforestation effort,
Beijing and Tianjin have yet to erect a "green belt" for the
population.
This refers to the planting of swathes of strategically placed
forests to
block approaching storms. "Forestry experts warned last year that
patches
of fields and several small mountains had been buried as a result of
desertification just 70km away from the capital," the China News
Service
reported, adding that Beijing's forestation effort was far from
adequate.
More than 40 per cent of China's territory had been turned into
desert,
and its desert area was expanding rapidly at 2,460 square metres
annually," another report said.

Skywatchers marvel at light show

Skies across Europe and North America have been lit up with a
spectacular display of the Northern Lights.

Scientists got an indication that a display of the Aurorae Borealis
was
possible when the ACE spacecraft, located approximately 1.6 million km
(one million miles) towards the Sun, detected the passage of a
fast-moving cloud of magnetically charged gas on its way to the
Earth.

The interplanetary shock wave passed ACE at about 1630 GMT on 6 April.
Abruptly the speed of the solar wind increased from 375 km per sec
(233
miles per sec) to nearly 600 km per sec (372 miles per sec). Such
disturbances usually arrive at Earth about one hour after they pass
ACE.
Scientists issued an auroral alert.

Fast moving clouds of electrons from the Sun were funnelled towards
the
polar regions by the Earth's magnetic field. As they collided with the
upper atmosphere they excited atoms causing them to give off light in
many colours. Often the patterns of light take on the form of moving
curtains and rays of light.

Diffuse red glow

Observers all over the Northern Hemisphere were stunned by the
display.

A report from Chester, UK, by Tom Teague said that a bright diffuse
red
glow was visible, with many broad rays orientated roughly north-south.
Some narrower, more concentrated rays with a greenish tinge were also
seen.

Chartered engineer Ian Sheffield, of the Royal Observatory in
Edinburgh,
UK, who watched the display from his home in East othian, said: "It
was
the most amazing display I have seen in 10 years.

"They started at 1900 GMT and they looked like Jacob's Ladders coming
down to the horizon. They were pale green with streaks of red that was
quite unusual. It was ghostly."

Veils of pale green

The Duty Controller at the Jodrell Bank radiotelescope in Cheshire,
UK,
described the lights as very spectacular, with curtains of red and
green
light seen between 1130 and 0200 GMT.

A report from Dave Branchett in Florida, US, said: "These events are
rare from this part of the world but even rarer was the sight of
fingers
or rays that shimmered and danced within the aurora."

Another observer said: "I've just spent the last two hours gazing up
at
a sky literally on fire with swaying red curtains and billowing veils
of
pale green and white streamers. Beams are everywhere. At one point,
everything merged overhead, and staring up at it was like staring into
some kind of pink wormhole - unbelievable."

It is expected that this storm will continue for the next 24-36 hours.
The so-called geomagnetic storm may affect electrical power systems,
spacecraft operations, and communications and navigation systems.
