TEMPLE MOUNT SUFFERS GREAT BLOW

A resident of Ma'aleh Zeitim - the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood
of Ras el-Amoud - noticed suspicious midnight activity not far from
his home two nights ago, and promptly called MK Rabbi Benny
Elon (National Union) and an official of the Antiquities Authority.
But it was too late: At least 100 trucks, hired by the Moslem
Waqf, had already begun a sudden midnight mission to transport
tons of dirt filled with unsifted and unexamined artifacts and dump it
in the Kidron Valley. The dirt was the by-product of the ongoing
illegal Waqf construction activity at Solomon's Stables under the
Temple Mount.

Only the police had been informed of the dumping operation -
despite an arrangement made three months ago between Ehud
Barak and the Waqf, according to which the Waqf must coordinate
all its construction works with the police, the Antiquities Authority,
and the Jerusalem Municipality. The trucks sped out of Lions'
Gate, on the eastern wall of the Old City, towards the adjacent
Kidron Valley, in order to complete the dumping as fast as
possible. A senior archaeologist told television reporter Benny
Liss, "There has been no bigger blow to the Temple Mount since
the destruction of the Temple itself."

The new mountain of dirt in the Kidron Valley, tens of meters high,
is now being combed by archaeologists, but they have little hope of
making significant finds. MK Elon, participating in a Knesset
Education Committee session today together with Jerusalem
Police Chief Ya'ir Yitzchaki, strongly rebuked Yitzchaki for
permitting the Moslem Waqf to take this action and for neglecting
to inform the Municipality or the Antiquities Authority. "It seems
that the police did nothing except to help the Waqf break the law,"
Elon told Arutz-7 today. "Yitzchaki wants quiet, and the Jewish
People will have to pay the price for generations."

Terrible Destruction on the Temple Mount

Recently the legal advisor of the Israeli Government visited the
Temple Mount and was shocked to see the terrible destruction
which the Arabs together with the Islamic Movement in Israel are
engaged in. This visit came after The Temple Mount and Land of
Israel Faithful Movement made a petition to the Supreme Court
asking that the destruction being performed by the Arabs in the
beautiful halls, called the Hulda Halls, be immediately stopped.
These halls were the main entrance for millions of pilgrims during
the Second Temple period. His report after the visit had to be an
answer to the petition by the Faithful. The report also shocked all
the Israel people and everyone in the world who heard about it.

In the report, he wrote that the Arabs had dug 10 metre deep over a
large area next the so-called Solomon's Stables in order to build a
new entrance to the Solomon's Stables after they had built a
mosque in the Stables which is the biggest in the Middle East.
Solomon's Stables were never actually stables but were halls
which were part of the Second Temple complex which were built by
King Herod and were used for the worship in the temple. The first
barbaric destruction and new building in the area was when the
function of the area was changed and the mosque built. Along with
this work they destroyed monuments which had remained after the
destruction of the temple in 70 CE. This destruction and building of
the mosque is a part of the Arab activities to destroy any Jewish
identity on the Temple Mount and any evidence which had
remained for 2000 years since the temple existed on this holy hill.
Their goal is to completely convert the Temple Mount and to make
it into a completely Islamic site. The so-called "Palestinian
Authority" is responsible for this vandalism and in reality they even
control the Temple Mount directly under the orders of terrorist
murderer, Arafat.

They very well know the deep significance of this holy hill to the
Jewish people, Israel and all the world. They know the desire of
everyone to purify the Temple Mount from the foreign pagan
worshippers who make this abomination against the G=96d of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Who consecrated this place to be His
house. They know that the G=96d of Israel will remove them from this
place as He removed all the foreign enemies and pagan
worshippers who robbed this most holy place from the people of
Israel and judged them and removed them from history. They are
trying to stop the march of the G=96d and people of Israel back to the
house of G=96d and to the place which is and will for ever be their
very focus, their heart and their soul, They do it in such a barbaric
way without any respect for G=96d, the Creator and Father of all of us
and they are lifting their hands against His holy house and site. We
know that, like all the enemies of G=96d and Israel who lifted their
hands against G=96d and His holy house, they will be judged by G=96d
Himself.

At the time of writing, they continue this destruction and the
building of the mosque. Many thousand cubic metres of earth are
being taken away by trucks (yesterday their were 120 trucks)
which are working day and night to accomplish this work quickly
before they are stopped. This work is done with no regard to any
holy archaeological remains from the temple. The earth is thrown
in the Kidron Valley, east of the Temple Mount, so much earth has
been placed there that a new hill has been formed. They throw the
earth together with the remains and friends of the Faithful
Movement who have gone to check the situation have found many
archaeological remains which have been destroyed. The heads of
the Antiquities Authority in Jerusalem stated yesterday after they
had checked the destruction that the Arabs are making the
greatest destruction since the destruction of the temple itself in 70
CE. It is like a destruction of the Third Temple. Everyone who has
seen this barbaric destruction and the terrible damage that has
been caused to the remains of the temple started to cry and to
mourn and tore their garments in despair. A deep sorrow came to
the hearts of the Israelis especially when they see that nobody
does anything to stop it. Unfortunately the Israeli Government is in
a position of terrible weakness and they are afraid to challenge the
Arabs and stop the work even though they have the legal and godly
right and duty to do so. It is such a tragedy to see the Israeli
Government, which has all the strength and ability to stop this
barbaric destruction, in this position of weakness and fear of Arab
or Islamic human reactions but not of the Almighty G=96d of Israel
and the Universe. It is a tragedy to see the silence of the great
powers in the world, including the UN, who are supposed to be
Christians and this most holy site should be very holy and
important to them as well. All of them prefer the Arab oil, money,
votes in the UN and other materialistic advantages that they believe
the Arabs can give them if they remain silent rather than the
Almighty G=96d Who will give them His moral values and laws. They
continue their hypocritical behaviour of taking the Temple Mount,
Jerusalem and the land which G=96d gave in an eternal covenant and
give it to their materialistic allies, the Arabs and the Moslems.

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is now in a
state of great sorrow and sadness because of this terrible
destruction and the critical situation on the Temple Mount,
Jerusalem and the land of Israel. But this will never break us or
stop our activities. More than this, we feel deeply the criticalness of
this time and G=96d is giving us strength and encouragement to
intensify and double our activities. We reject all this weakness and
hypocrisy. As real soldiers of G=96d we are ready to fight and
struggle for Him, for His Name, for His Word and for His most holy
site and house. We are ready to sacrifice everything in our lives for
Him and we trust in Him completely.

The first step that the Movement made was on Tuesday 7th,
December when we marched and demonstrated against this
barbaric destruction and for G=96d and His house. On the same early
morning, the Faithful made an urgent petition to the Supreme Court
of Israel asking that the destruction be immediately stopped, that
the site be restored to its original state (if this is still possible afte=
r
such a destruction) or as close to that state as possible and to
immediately arrest all those involved in the destruction and illegal
building of the mosques and bring them to court. We are doing our
best to ensure that this petition will be considered soon and we
wonder why up to today this has still not been done. We have also
called on the Israeli people and the Israeli leadership to throw off
their weakness and fulfill their godly duty. G=96d will never forgive
anyone who does not do this. The Israeli people is full of sorrow
and anger and from all sides they are calling on the Government to
fulfill its duty. We are looking forward to this occurring before it is
too late.

Everyone in the world who reads this urgent report is called on not
to be silent but to act! Please send petitions and letters to the
Israeli Government, to Prime Minister Barak, to the UN, to the
European Union, to President Clinton and to your own governments
protesting this anti-godly barbaric destruction and the building of
mosques on the site of our beloved G=96d. Please send this report
and your letters and petitions to the media in your countries and
ask them to react and to raise their voices against this terrible
situation. This will be your part in the fight and your dedication with
all your devotion to our G=96d and Creator and His holy house, the
G=96d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The G=96d and people of Israel
expect you to do this as soon as possible and will never forget that
you did this at a critical time when it was so needed. We shall
continue to trust only in the G=96d of Israel and the Universe and He
will be with us. Nobody can stop His determination to redeem His
holy site, the Temple Mount, Jerusalem, the people and land of
Israel and all mankind. We shall be with Him in this critical and
great moment.

MOSCOW (AP) - Russia launched a new strategic missile
Tuesday and used the occasion to issue another reminder of
Moscow's nuclear capability and warn the West against criticizing
its offensive in breakaway Chechnya. Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin, who witnessed the test, said Russia "will use all diplomatic
and military-political levers in its disposal," to confront Western
opposition. Putin's comments came in a speech to military officers
at the Plesetsk launch pad in northwestern Russia, after the
successful test-firing of a Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile.
The missile was launched from Plesetsk and flew across Russia,
hitting its target on the Kamchatka peninsula, some 3,400 miles to

extraordinary birth, saying they have pulled off the unprecedented
feat of transferring a frozen embryo between species by bringing a
rare African wildcat to term in the womb of an ordinary house cat.

Endangered Species said the advancement could be used to
resurrect entire species. "If extinction happens in the wild, the
technology will be there to bring the species back," said Ron

UN UNITES 1,000 CLERGY FOR WORLD PEACE SUMMIT

The United Nations is to extend its peacekeeping role into
spiritual territory next year by hosting its first summit for
world religious leaders, bringing together the likes of the Pope, the
Archbishop of Canterbury, the Aga Khan and the Grand Mufti live on
television.

In one of the UN's most ambitious projects, more than 1,000
clergymen, from cardinals and rabbis to imams and patriarchs, will
join "living gods" and gurus at the body's New York headquarters in
August. Organisers of the Millennium World Peace Summit, which
will take place days before the world's political leaders gather for
the UN General Assembly, hope to encourage faiths to bury
ancient enmities and co-operate in resolving world conflicts.

The idea for the gathering emerged from a conversation between
Kofi Annan, the UN's Secretary-General, and Ted Turner, the multi-
millionaire owner of CNN and the husband of Jane Fonda, who has
promised to broadcast the proceedings live. Bawa Jain, the
summit's New York-based executive co-ordinator, said: "Ted Turner
said to the Secretary-General, 'If you want peace in the world you
have to bring together religious leaders at the UN and get them to
sign a declaration'." Because of the political sensitivities involved,
however, the summit is being organised at one removed from Mr
Annan. It has his full backing, said Mr Jain. He said: "Our dream
is to get the top religious leaders to the UN so they can discuss
the role they can play with the political bodies here. The gathering
will not include politicians but it should feed into the General
Assembly."

Against a background of friction in Kosovo, East Timor, the Middle
East and Northern Ireland, the leaders would be expected to sign a
common declaration pledging their commitment to reduce religious
tensions. The first ever council of senior clerics could also be
established to advise the Secretary-General, and its members
could be "parachuted" into troublespots, said Mr Jain. He said:
"These leaders could go into those places physically and use their
influence to make sure no violence occurs. They could say, 'We're
not going to move from here until you make peace'. Religions must
exert more authority. It is a call to action." While planning was still
in the early stages and much was "still up in the air", interest had
been "phenomenal" and talks were under way with, for example,
Lambeth Palace and the Vatican, he added.

Apart from the Pope and Dr George Carey, religious leaders
expected to be approached include Sheikh Ahmed Keftaro, the
Grand Mufti of Syria, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Alazar from Cairo, the
imams of the mosques of Mecca and Medina, Dr Abdullah Salehal-
Obaid, the secretary of the World Muslim League, the Israel's Chief
Rabbi, Israel Meir Lau, the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox
Church, the Most Rev Bartholomew, the Russian Patriarch, His
Holiness Alexii II, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Bishop Carlos
Belo, the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize winner from East Timor.

Marching with the Torch of the Maccabees to the Temple Mount
7th December, 1999

The march of The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful
Movement on 7th December, 1999, during Hanukkah, with the
torch of the Maccabees was held at a very critical time. On the
same day the Arabs on the Temple Mount continued their
destruction, their abomination and the building of the new mosque
on the Temple Mount. It was as if history was repeating itself.
